Default Procharger help

im in the middle of building a 408 stroker lq4 and im interested in putting on a procharger. im running a 9.5:1 CR what kind of boost am i going to be able to add to this engine running on pump gas. and what is the best procharger to use? i have a set of CNC ported L92 heads, FAST 102/102. I have been talking to some people on other forum websites and they recommended coming here and asking. From talking to other people and doing some research i think i can run around 16lbs boost without having to worry about detonation, and with the heads, intake and TB an F1 would probably be the way to go, am i correct?

A D1 would work but a F1,F1A or F1C would be best choice. Ditch the L92 heads as their deck surface isnt very thick. There was a couple different setups that were lifting heads. You could run 16psi but I'd add methanol as a "saftey" blanket.

You are correct. The P1SC, P1SC-1, P1SC-2, D1SC, F1, F1A, F1D, F1C, and the F1R all have the same bolt pattern.

What are your hp goals and how much money are you willing to part with?

The ported L92 heads should work well but 16 psi might be a little too much. WCCH recommended staying below 15 but that should still make serious power in a 408 with a good cam.

Thumbs up

The ProCharger F-1A blower works very well and doesn't require as much power to turn it as the larger F-1C and F-1R require. The F-1A also fits easier as it has the same volute diameter as the P-1SC and D-1SC. You can easily make 850+ rwhp at 12.5 -up psi with the right cam and head combination, with an F-1A. Bob

i was hoping somewhere around 850 to the wheels, and at this point i already have 6000 into it so id say im willing to go the same on a procharger setup

Correct, Exotic Performance Plus is no longer around. I had a verbal agreement in the works with the owners of Exotic Performance Plus to take over the website, that fell through. So basically I am starting over. I am sorry you could not get in touch with me, I had to make some drastic changes in a short amount of time. Bob

850 rwhp at the wheels can be made with 12.5 psi of boost with the right combination. Bob
