PSJ- The car is still very quiet with the 4in exhaust. The turbo is still louder than the exhaust actually.
I dynoed it on a mix of 110 and 93. Probably 70% 110.
Mightymouse- I ran 11lbs of boost on 93 octane many times over the summer with the same tune. So, I would say over 600rwhp on 93 is definitely possible.
I'm sure the turbo is capable of more airflow, I just don't feel comfortable running 25+ psi boost. I'm not really sure of the hp limit of the turbo itself.

Kinda funny that with both of us at 11lbs of boost we make nearly identical HP.

I guess I wish I had an LT1-style engine again...

For your information LS1's are limited by the head bolt design to make big power.
Get a clue before you post.
Speed Inc has great customer service too.

I too am running a single turbo kit, however it is on an '03 Z06. At 12 psi, I make 580/580 on 93 octane...what octane are you running/compression at 11 psi and 19 psi? Very impressive results btw.

well i guess, but supras and rx-7s lift heads too so unless it's a constant problem...
Then again there should be a 1000fwhp ls1 out there by now.
Kinda disheartening to hear the lt-1 has an advantage on the ls1 like that..maybe the ls1 is just a N20 motor and BIG power with FI is just an uphill battle..we already get screwed with prices and kits compared to stangs.

I think SSblue has a QMP kit and was making a joke to Rob Raymer.
Intmd8 is your peak dropping or is it the same? When you putting the 2.73's in?
Also, I should revise my cam comment, how about 235/235 how much overlap would that have?

Ronnie Duke's droptop makes well over 1K hp. I can only think of 2 LTx motors that have made 1000+ hp (Madman's Firebird & Baxter's SS).
Good numbers Jim. Ever thought of trying to get a number w/ a straight exhuast (no muffler, short downpipe)? With the size of the turbo, I don't think it'd be that loud.

I know Jim has dynoed an open downpipe before. He's tried a lot of different things, he's the most creative 4th gen turbo guy I see on the web as far as trying things go.
Z8's has gone 159mph with a 3400 lb raceweight I'm thinking that's like 1100 crank hp (96 LT1 383ci hydraulic)
I think we will see non-C5R headed 1000 crank hp LS1 setups this year.

the overlap would be determined by your chosen lobe center John.
