Only 6in of vaccuum at idle...?

Default Only 6in of vaccuum at idle...?

hey guys, i recently took my car out of storage with the nice weather we are having here in CT, and last night i noticed my inches of vaccuum was at 6... it used to be about 15 inches of vaccuum... (before i put the car away..) now its at 6 at idle.... is this bad? do i have a problem??
the car has a D1 Procharger... any help would be great, thanks!

look for a vac leak, maybe a friendly little mouse chewed a hole in a vac line while in storage-did it def have 15 " before storage

yes, that is not good. I assume you have checked connections and hoses to the gauge? Check around the Intake manifold for leaks. Are the power brakes working OK?

Check all your lines. Did you change the cam or any other parts?

yes id definately had 15 in. before i put it away for storage... i will check all the lines and check back!...

ok i found the hole in the vaccuum line... now for my next question.... does anyone have a P/N for the brass fittings for the nylyon tubing?? i need to get new brass fittings..

Are you talking about the nylon tubing used for boost gauges?

No, i was talking about the brass fittings that the nylon tubing goes into... but i went to a performance shop and they had a kit with the nylon turbing and the brass fittings that i needed... there was a holde in my old vaccuum line, that was my problem... its all fixed now and back to normal!!! Time to smoke some mustangs!!!
