Default Anyone One Making An Underhood Single Turbo Kit?

I remember a few companies used to make them now I can't seem to find any. Let me know which companies you recommend and why....personal experiences would be nice to hear. Thanks

make your own, very cost efficient!

i had though about producing a budget single kit: hot/cold side with intercooler...

then the buyer could choose the turbo, injectors, bov, wg they want to run.

I just dont have time...

Not the kit he sold a buddy of mine. Alternator had to be relocated and cooling fans had to be moved.

New kit he has doesnt need the alternator moved but you still need to move the fans. Its pretty much impossible to keep the stock fans when you go turbo in any fashion.

i know everyone's gonna knock me for adding it, but don't forget the ebay PTK copy. if you don't mind wrestling agains the grain, you can't beat the price with a stick. the turbo it comes with is garbage, but people on this board have taken this kit to over 700hp just to see if they could.

personally, i think it's the budget turbo kit everyone's been asking for but they're still skeptical. the kit is controversial because it's using a design by a company that is now out of business, the kits are reputed to be made of inferior quality materiels and to have downpipe fitment issues and because it's not from a reputable turbo shop. just ask the poster above me, XtremeDime. he's installing one right now and i'm watching his thread like a hawk because i'm giving SERIOUS consideration to going the ebay turbo route next year. personally, i live right around the corner from CFT (central florida turbo) and Rollo does great work. but i don't want to fork over the 7 grand to have him custom fab a complete turbo kit for my camaro. i'm just not that rich.

you can get just the hot side for 500 bucks. or complete for under a grand.

complete kit:

the search for you because ebay constantly changes:

a pic of one of the hotside only kits:

pics of the complete kit:

Josh @ Kentucky turbo makes 2 different kits. A truck manifold kit and a forward facing header kit. The header kit keeps all the accesories in the stock location even the radiator depending on what size turbo you go with. You will have to stand the radiator up a little on the larger turbos.

The ebay/ptk kit is junk! Just ask anyone that has one if they would do it again. I tried it and didn't like the fit/quality so i sold it/ I am currently waiting on my hotside from Josh at KYTP.

Yeah there was a thread here detailing what it takes to make the ebay kit fit right. When all was said and done the op had put just as much money into it as he could have spent on a high quality kit. Do yourself a favor and call josh at KYTP. He is also building my hot side with headers and a custom 4 inch DP. Very knowledgable and friendly guy.

I would check with rob at modular turbo. You can upgrade from the single kit to the twin kit it also retains all accessories
