running fast on a little tire isnt what alot of the Ls1tech community are into. It's hard as hell, and takes time. For most of the crowd, it's stuff as much tire under it as you can and as much power. Alot of those cars are still street cars, so they aren't set weight bias correctly and can't transfer the weight like they need to in order to run a small tire.

If i can go 8's in the 1/4 on a 275, i'd be PUMPED. In reality, a 8.99 wouldnt even get you into a field at a x275 1/8 mile race though, haha.

LS2Formula has been 8.1's on the 275X60X15 Hoosiers. 2 turbos though. It'll run a 7 on the Hoosier, no problem. We were fighting other issues that day. Not traction.

No DOUBT man, haha. That car makes tons of power and is definately hooking!

I think the poster was asking about a single though. Problem is every class legal racing is so scared of turbo's, I'm already strongly thinking of dismantling mine and going over to the.....gasp.....supercharged crowd. I think i can make plenty of power out of a Vortech Xi to be competitive in a few series. I'm split between that or going to a very customized 75mm. I think i can get into more classes with a Xi though.

Yeah, 1.2X 60's out of the 275 DR's is nothing special anymore. Some of those guys have run deep into the 1.0X's I believe. I think someone has cut a 1.06.

Not to sound like a thread **** but you made up your own order and left out info.

Guys, please atleast put the right stuff in the right order so that I can just copy and paste it.

Also, is it even an LSx motor?

'99 Trans Am, 346ci, P1SC (8PSI), 3780#, Hoosier QTP's 27x11.5x15", 11/05/10, TH400

This was the last run of the night after I finally figured out my fuse was blown on the trans brake. So I swapped the radio fuse over and it worked out for one last pass. I cut a decent 60' but still didn't beat my pb. Not bad for pulling her out of storage and running her again. A CTS V had just grenaded his tranny in the left lane so we had to finish out the night using the right lane only.
