Default limits on boost with ls1 edit

at what point(boost wise)does edit hinder more than help?
I just was thinking these are 2 bar map,and yes you can adjust
calc. airflow in edit but when does it become unreliable for boost,
above 15,20,25 PSI?

I will be dropping my compression very low 7.0 to 8.0-1 somewhere in this neighborhood to run higher boost on pump gas is why I inquire on this

It's not a boost limit, it's a flow limit that causes problems.

Anything over 512 g/s and you have to start playing games with edit, and MAF's.

well then riddle me this,
is it better to put the MAF on the upstream
of the compressor or downstream, because flow
readings will be different.
which will give you a more wider range to work with?

flow readings will be the same, it's MASS flow not volume.

Unless you have leaks, it's the same before or after the compressor

i looked up every flow sheet on every stock gm maf i could find... best one is the lt1 maf... the higher the number the better..

i had an ls6 maf that topped off at like 350g/s and switched back to the stock meter because the ls6 maxed the Hz at about 3000rpm

forgot to mention, after that you just dump in fuel linearly in the p.e. table linearly ramping up with rpm starting at the rpm you get to 11250hz.. its a big band aid, but got the job done for me

the maf flowrate file? found the lt1 one on camaroz28.com and i think i found the others by asking around on here. if you want something specific i can email it to you if you want, or even my entire latest edit file i used during the dyno and racing....but mind you that its turbo specific.

Matt, what is the deal regarding running and calibrating a Pro-M MAF, they can go over 512 g/s? I had a long convo with Scott Beers once but talk to like four guys like that a week I can't remember it all.

I'd rather see folks use the best MAF they can, as long as the price is reasonable. Scott was saying like ~$400 for one of their LS1 FI MAF's.

email sent. .. also that tune was used to a maximum of 11,800hz or so.. a t-88 can most certainly move more air than that.
