Boost with higher compression
I have a 98 SS with PP stage II 5.3 heads,TSP 231/237 cam and most bolt-ons. I went this route because I never figured I would run FI.
My brother-in-law has a powerdyne blower that used to be on my car (I bought it from him). It has been collecting dust for going on 2 years now. I could pick it up pretty cheap.
Could I get away with running 4.5-6 lbs of non-intercooled boost with my setup?

I drive the car too much to use race gas all the time.
I guess I'll stick with my original plan of more cubes. It's just tough to see the blower sitting there without thinking about putting it to use

Running 4 psi of boost at this time. Not going to go more till the bottom half is done. Good Luck !

Lingenfelter SS: What size combustion chambers are on those heads? Are you running the factory short block? Also do you know how much total timing your running? Reason I ask is that I have the PP Stage III LS6 heads with the 59cc chambers and am looking to build a turbo kit here shortly, I'll be taking the heads off to have the combustion chambers opened up but want to wait until I get the kit on and ensure everytthing works right. Thanks...

With the overlap of that cam (231/237) there would be so much CR bleeding off that it will run fine on 93. Definitely run MLS gakets. The dynamic CR of that set-up is near 9.7:1 which would work up to 9psi. The off-boost performance wont be the best if you lower static CR. If you go with a smaller cam then you can't run the current compression.
