Thats correct. I didnt catch that he was going to run a s/c

i'm doin a similar build but i'm puttin a twin screw supercharger on top. there are 2 things i'd change in your build though, the stock crank (from what i've been told by a very good engine builder in Nor Cal) the stock crank is good up to 1000hp BUT not under constant pressures and heat from a supercharger application (probably not wording it right) it'll do it with nirtous cause nitrous doesn't put on strain the whole entire time you drive. and beings that i'm thinking about running the same boost as you i'd ask your engine builder about this. also i was told to stay away from the LS7 lifters at the power level i'm lookin at, but for the life of me i can't remember why he said to stay away from them . anyway thats my input good luck on your build!!!

stroking it is fun lol how much more did they quote for a forged 4" crank? that'd put you at 402CI

i'm goin through HKE for mine (iron forged 408) and i'm guessin it'll be about 5k for the engine since i'm goin to ask them for new pushrods, lifters and rockers and i'll ship them my heads and cam and have them put it all together then ship it assembled

There's nothing wrong with the stock crank up to 1000 hp. Countless high hp builds using the stock crank without any problem. LS7 lifters work great and are very affordable. Make sure you drill out your lifter trays though. There's a writeup on here somewhere.

I was told by a few people to run the ls9 gaskets. Google them and there's alot of threads with nothing but good to say about them.

Also I have ls7 lifters with ls2 trays and didn't have to do any drilling. Id say use em, if you really are that weery of them go with comp or something.
