Procharger Hat Problem Fixed
These Spectre silicone coupling adapters feature extra-thick 3/16 in. walls that won't collapse under high intake pressure. This virtually eliminates the chance of hose blockage and improves overall performance.

Heres the first shot of what I have

This is the K&N Air Filter I bought from Bob @ EPP a while back. This was supposed to be the better bigger air filter. The filter inlet is 3.50" and the elbow is 4". I would recommend getting the same filter but with a 4" inlet to make it a hell of alot easier.
Cost about $50.00

Next is the 6" Tube I bought from Pep Boys that will connect from your elbow to the filter. Trim as necessary. I bought the 6" one but its too long, I think the 4" one would be perfect.
Cost $12.99

Here is the 90 Degree Elbow from Pep Boys as well. This is not regular flimsy silicone, this stuff feels really firm and I highly doubt it will collapse. One side is alot shorter than the other. The short side will connect to the Procharger. There is also a converter ring on the inside of it for the compressor side because our compressor inlet is 3.75 inches. I got the converter ring from a 4" silicone connector sold at Pep Boys also. They advertise it as a 4" to 4" or 3.75" they just give you the ring with it if you need to downsize to 3.75"
Cost $19.99

Now its time to fit everything up. First we put the elbow on and position it so that it will go under your charge pipe.

Then we put the 4" aluminum tube in and attach it to the elbow. On my setup I had too much of an angle on the filter so I had to move the Cruise control module and mount it on the side of the frame. Mark your holes, drill them and tap them to the size of your original bolts. The frame rail is plenty thick enough to just tap through to hold the module in place.

Now put the filter on and enjoy an extra 1.5psi not having to buy POS restrictive inlets from Procharger once a year.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time

I have a griffin radiator in the stock location with the AC condenser and an F1 blower, and a section cut out of my shroud for more clearance between the hat and radiator. That was good for clearance, but bad for the radiator. I hope I can get this radiator fixed, it wasn't cheap!
I wonder if a silicone piece like whats in this thread would fit and be better since, if it rubbed the radiator, it would only cause wear on the eblow, not the radiator.
