I just finished building one to try. It is narrower to work with my application. I took a food strainer cut off the handle, and mounted it it a large coffee can base. Added a 3.5 inch aluminum neck and silicone coupler. Filter material is formed from UNI 5/8" filter foam.

Alright I am gonna go ahead and recommend that no one else buys this elbow and tries to use it. Or anyone that has one already changes it.

I installed mine about 3 weeks ago when I changed some charge pipe stuff. up until tonight it had only seen some street use and no real high rpm pulls.

So I went to the track tonight and on my 4th pass I noticed I has lost 5mph in the 1/8 (I was making licensing passes so no full passes yet) My buddies commented then about the blower sounding funny during my burn out. Checked the car over and found that it appears that I was sucking the elbow closed and into the blower

I need to pull the blower and inter cooler off tomorrow night and see how bad the damage it. I know it did bend the fins on the impeller and I am sure that part of this elbow is in the one end of the inter cooler

Honestly I would send it to Procharger to have the head unit inspected and the impeller replaced. It's not cheap either.

I agree, it should be put on the first page. What a shame that it sucked itself in like that!

Too bad I still have the twin intercoolers. Although I did upgrade to the bigger ones (4.5") and have the cone filter I bought from you. No way to get anything bigger than that in there without starting to remove stuff from the car. Yours barely fit as it is!

I wouldn't worry about it man, you aren't pulling enough air to make a difference with the base procharger hat on the setup you're running.
