Default Question for Racetronix

I’m running your twin intank pump system in my 99 T/A. My question is this, what’s the best way to setup the pumps so only one run during normal driving and the second pump comes on under boost?

I’m running 8an feeds and 6an returns with billet rails and a CAS regulator, but with the twin pumps running at the same time it over powers the regulator.

Would a WOT switch be the best way to go? Or maybe a hobb switch? What do you think would be the best way?

Thanks
Jay

I know this is a question for Racetronix, but I will chime in.

Put a Hobbs switch and relay in the system where the relay for the second pump is activated at the boost level you want it to come on. The Hobbs switch has vacuum line going to it and terminal posts for connecting power to the relay. Here is how I did it to my in-line pump... the wires no simply run to the in-tank pump:

The last time I ran a hobb switch was with the autometer inline pump. I'm not sure what the cause was but the pump would kick on and off whenever it felt like it, even when the car was sitting still. So I'm not to trusting of the hobb setup, but if that's the best way, then I will go with it and add a toggle switch in the car.

Thanks

It could have been defective, I guess. But, I've never had a problem with my Hobbs switch and I've used it for over two years.

Not all pressure switches are Hobbs switches.
Hobbs is a brand with a very high quality rating as it is an industrial switch.
If you are running a true Racetronix DP system then no alteration of the harness is required. There are two connectors beside the fuse holders which are ground loops with jumpers. Our Hobbs switch assembly is designed to plug in place of one of these jumpers which allows either pump to be controlled independently of the other.

No that is a DP for GM CK applications which is very similar to the F99+ unit.

For my car, 99 T/A I had to send the entire stock fuel pump system (sending unit I think it's called) to Agostino Racing Engines. They sent it over to Racetronix for modifications. It's a sweet system if you can go without your car for about 6 weeks I would recommend it to anyone that needs more fuel.

Sounds great. Would this hobbs switch be installed the same way you would install one on an inline pump?
Do you have any pictures of you hobbs switch setup and drawn installation instructions?

If you have any Racetronix DP harness the Hobbs switch assembly we sell can be added as a PnP option. Do you have a Racetronix harness similar to what is shown above?
