Not impressed.....I ran 11.70s on street tires at 125 with NO HEAD WORK..just gutted cats and smooth tubes...I made 452 rwhp and 500 rwtq...He is well known on the LS1 sites, but no one that I have talked to in the Viper community seems to know about him

The 1200hp is a Dartcast block with Dart 18' aluminum heads at 396ci, and the 1600hp is a Dart aluminum 9.5" block with Dart Little Chief heads.

Streetable and daily drivable with A/C, no problem.

You would think an F-Body would go 7's with that monster in it:

He is beyond the MAN when it comes to forced induction.
Agreed! Did he give you a feel for what one of those monsters would cost?

I am kind of afraid to ask

1200rwhp daily driveable HP.....that kind you can get away with. The 1200rwhp race car HP is the kind you don't want for a daily driver, it would be too much for the street.

I'm more interested in the LT1 car that ran a 7.03@203....any links to it?

To my knowledge, he hasn't. I asked him about a twin turbo system for my Viper a few months ago when he was selling his car, and he didn't reply. Nothing. My car is most likely going to Heffner's Motorsports to get a TT package in the spring/early summer time. He is a VERY good guy to deal with.

If said car has that much power i would bet that there is either very little water jacket that hasnt been filled with that hard cast or none what so ever. Or if it is just as mentioned it might be a grenade waiting to go off......

Little Chief heads are big $$$$ alone. I think the price would be right around an arm AND a leg. I also can't see it being very streetable since LC's are like a 15* head or something.

I dont think 1200 rwhp on pump gas is possible.I have a good friend that built a small block chevy twin turbo for his Grand national and he cant get 1200 with pump gas.The motor was built by Scott Merkal(sp?) with an unlimited budget. On c16 it shut down the dyno @ only 26# but on pump gas I think it made about 800 safely.
My question is=

Why would you want that much power? His Grand National with the 1000hp tune up will walk a hayabusa. What more could you need?

jimmyzz28 I know the car you are thinking of and this is a different car. That car is very impressive though.
But this one makes that one look like a junkyard special.

I never understood someone that could ask this question in a performance forum.

The question is: How much is too much? Answer: There is no such thing as too much.

ss00blue Have you ever taken a ride in a car on the street that makes a 1000 to the wheels?
That GN can light the tires (et streets) @90 like my ws6 does in 1st gear.

I do aggree that there is no such thing as to much power.

Yup! It's fun isn't it? As far as I can tell, the accelerator pedal is not a binary switch, so the prudent operator can apply as much cold air to the fire as the tires will allow. It's part of the cost of 1000rwhp. A cost, I might add, that I am more than willing to pay!
