Default ls1 build for boost?

I want to build my ls1 motor to handle some boost from my procharger d1sc, and I still want to hold 6500-7000rpm redline. on a boosted motor I know this is more stressful on the internals with the rpm and boost.

my plans are 10psi on a 347 ls1, with all the bolt ons, making around 650whp and shifting 6500-7000rpm, I am thinking 6800rpm is where id want to go cause thats where my cam drops off.

what would I need for internals to be able to sustain that abuse and it live a nice long life?

I know forged rods and pistons and prob better bolts. but what ones and such? would it require arpm studs? and what piston rings to use? will eagle h beam rods be alright with arp2000 bolts? how about the scat I beam rods with 7/16" arp bolts? pistons I will use diamon custom ones to get 9.5:1 compression with my patriot stage 3 heads.

I already have ls7 lifters, and chromoly pushrods. just worried about the block. what do you guys think??

An LS1 or LS6 block would be fine for your power level want. If you wanna turn more than 6800 I would look into a forged crank also. I used diamond pistons/rings with Lunati rods, stock remanufactuctured crank, LS1 block with all new internals/studs/lifters, LS6 oil pump, LS6 valley cover and PCV system.

We have about 5 cars running this setup here and have well into 20k on each one and they run fine.

Stock crank
Callies compstar rods, arp 2000 bolts
Weisco/diamond pistons all 9.5:1
ARP main studs and head studs
4 of the 6 are on stock ported heads and ls6 intake, one is at 8psi with 610 rwhp the others are 12-16psi power is around 640-800rwhp.

All are 6 speed cars, except one, they all have strange or moser axles.

^^^That is the way I would build it.

Sweet setup but do those motors spin 6500+rpm at those boost levels?

2 spin to 6300rpm cause they didnt want to go higher, the other 4 go to 68-7000rpm.

We have been 200+ in 2 of the cars at a air strip pulling all the way to 6th so these cars are NOT driven like sissies they are driven hard alot.

the cam is the big factor on rpm's but when you add boost into the picture it changes it around. 7000rpm natural is a lot different than 7000rpm with forced induction thats why i asked if they were spinning that high.

The 4 that go 6500+ have small cams, like in the 224/228 range.

alright cool.. so it would be safe to say the motor will work at 6500-7000rpm with a mild boost cam and a fully preped forged bottom end.. i think i can use the stock crank for this level also, just toss H beams and forged pistons and have at it with some good bolts/studs.
