Default Which power maker to go with?

My car is almost ready now for some kind of power maker. I'm just torn on which way I want to go . I love the idea of building a super strong block and boosting the **** out of it for undeniable power, but its going to be a stret car that won't see much actual drag time, maybe two three times a year at best. I also love the idea of a procharger. And a Naturally aispirated motor thats hotter than a two peckered billy goat really tickles my fancy too. Money isn't a huge concern. I just wana know what would be the most "efficent" stop light racer . Btw the fastest car around where I am is a single turboed FWD eclipse thats had about 3k stuck into it..... yeah its a ricer

are you wanting to build a motor too? a couple turbo sponsors on here make it pretty easy to set up a front mount turbo..or yeah procharger works well too with more of that N/A sound and feel you like..but building boost on a 2 step at a light next to that ricer will be pretty bad *** too

Yes a complete Motor rebuild is going to be done either way but for the type of motor rebuild i'd like to know which way i should go so that i know what i should get for parts so i know what kind of compression I wana shoot for. It's going to be strong as **** regardless though I have 8000 set aside for just parts for that beatiful LS1

I say pick up a D1SC kit and run it on a safe boost level. It will be more than driveable and you'll romp on everyone in your town.

no 8000 just for the motor internals. I wana know what power adder to go with before i pick my head so my budget for that is undecided. I live in northwest IA lol not much for fast street cars around alot of stock mustang GT's and ricers

It would help if you could define what kind of power you are looking for. There is a big difference in cost between a 600 rwhp FI build as opposed to 800 or more. Other items come into play too, are you a 6 speed or auto? Stock rear & suspension? Your total bill may come to more than you are thinking.

Shouldnt be hard at all to build something potent.

Im about 5500 into my build including buying a 6.0L.

By the time im done with building the motor and possibly heads I should be around 7000 bucks, but I already had all my turbo setup from my last LT1 built, just had to build new headers.

I'm stock 6 speed and built 10 bolt rear end. I plan on doing a clutch this summer anyways so im gonna just go ***** deep and get a Mcloed twin disc. I would love to have a 650 hp car but i'm not sure if a built 10 bolt could handle that I would be very happy with 500-550 though
