eBay/PTK kit with modded downpipe pics
Here's some shots of the modded downpipe. After striking out with the standard downpipe setup, I tried hacking off the v-band clamps that were impossible to line up and clamp on and welded in a section of straight pipe using a band clamp to join the sections together. After that wouldn't stay together, I tried rigging up some tabs and bolting the two sections together, but then it interfered with the steering shaft so I got pissed and hacked it off again.
And this is what I came up with, I ended up taking it under the K-member and joining it up to the rest of the exhaust at the ball and socket clamp. Seems to be working great, no interference with steering and the ground clearance isn't bad at all...only 3/4" or so lower than the crossover pipe.
I don't have any pics from an angle good enough to show the pipe right off the turbo but I'll be sure to snap some when I get down to the house again.

The radiator is completely stock, with a LT1 upper radiator shroud. Cut the factory fans in half and I'm running one of them as a puller and aftermarket fan mounted in front as a pusher.
As far as the cost, I'd have to add everything up on my list but I should have right around 2k into it...been a very budget conscious build.
Gonna add up everything to get a true total, as well as take some pics of the downpipe right off the turbo at a better angle.
