Am I reading it right that to get 139#/min, you need a setup to run about 27# of boost and would end up around 60%.

That is correct. To support that you will need around 57-60lbs min exhaust turbine flow.

Yes, I was looking at that map quite some time ago, since Precision doesn't offer compressor maps, and that's as close as I'm going to get.

I guess we'll have to see what she makes.

That turbo is a standard GT47. The map you are looking at is the turbo you have. Other then being a stub shaft version......its the same wheels.

May want to tell the guy in the other thread making over 1600rwhp with this turbo, it doesnt work. Or might want to tell the countless Supras with 4788's at 1500+ the turbo is only good for 1100.
We are not buying any of your turbos, we are quite happy with precision products. I dont appreciate any of your negative vibe with turbo selection.
The 47-88 will work just fine on this proven application. This is a real world car, for the street and strip, not a dyno queen, or a fictitious internet car.

Everyone else, thanks for the positive words.

Pffft. That turbo will make 700whp if you're lucky.

j/k. This car is definitely proven. The old set-up gave me a large amount ***** envy. There is absolutely no mistake that these guys know what they're doing. I do love how on a domestic bred website, building a 14,000whp trans am, Jordan somehow manages to sneak some vtec into it. ha!

Good luck with the build. Can't wait to see it lay some rubber down.

It's a Garrett turbo....not PTE not ours..etc. Supra's will make 1500rwhp with one due to high PR. Big V8's will not.

That's why we've destroked this engine to 1.80", which makes it's a 3.0 liter. Problem solved.

Didn't Precision use Garrett CHRA's in the past and changed the covers? Hard to beat Garrett wheel tech. Killer build.

Wow, build looks great Matt! Can't wait to see it in person and to see if we can't get pulled over again on Woodward.

Just for DrTurbo...

Garrett GT4788 backing plate...

Garrett GT4788 compressor cover...

And this is a Precision GT4788...

Aluminum compressor backing plate...

Oh, and the label on the compressor cover, just to drive it home...

Also, in case there is any doubt left; please click here and scroll to page ten and see the GT47-frame options.

"150-5030 - GT4788 - 1500-hp"

While it may utilize a Garrett CHRA, and perhaps turbine housing, it's still not a Garrett once PTE names it a Precision GT4788 with their revisions. Just like an Aston Martin isn't a Ford.

With that out of the way, on with some interesting updates.

COOKIE MONSTER getting wrenched on again...

Clearancing for the water:air intercooler core...

(I wish this had come out clear)

Underside shot...

Secured...

Set down...

Oh boy...

A few various angle shots...

Excellent charge routing...

Further updates coming shortly.
