Question Are there any quiet FI systems out there

Looking for a true sleeper system. I pulled up to a guy the other day and his car was whistling like crazy...I think I would get a headache with that as my daily driver.
Are there any mods I can do to make the current setups quieter. I don't mind exhaust noise, its the noise under the hood.
Thanks!

Turbo setups are very quite. On the Incon kit you can't see the turbo(s) and you can here them in the engine bay. I can here them spinning on the side of the car, but only because I know what to listen for.

my Vortech V9-GTrimSQ is pretty quiet.. only time you can really hear it is at idle, and it sounds like alternator noise through a radio.

Gary said it . . . not sure about single setups, but the Incon is so quiet that people have walked up to my car idling at the track and didn't even know it was running! I think I have the quietest car in my club . . . sans cats and muffler!

The Vortech kits tend to be pretty quiet. You usually can't hear those until your right next to the car. People that don't know what they are looking for probably won't even notice.

Turbos are quite till you hit boost . But at idle theres no way to tell unless you look under the hood.

As for blowers an ATI I heard awhile back was so quite when it drove by me standing in a parking lot I swore it didn't have a blower till I looked under the hood. Or maybe I just wasn't paying that much attention

My boss' Incon SS is louder than my Vortech. In 1.5 years of driving with the Vortech, I have had 1 person ask me if the car was blown from the sound.

Edit: Maybe I should stop posting in threads I find in search

At cruise you can hear my turbos, even at idle if you listen close. You would really have to know what your listening for at a stop light though, if I tap the throttle its pretty obvious.

hmmm... mine is loud as hell and I have a V9G "SQ". There is no doubt (to car guys anyway) that I am packing an FI system of some kind when I pull up next to them at a light.

yep. My D-1SC (pewter car) is not stealthy either. When I pull into a car meet, heads turn and bystanders say to each other ("he must have a blower", or "dayum!" etc.)

Mine is the same way... And I only have 1 T-70 out back! Just going through the intersection under about 1/4 throttle you can hear it spooling, when I let off in between gears you can really hear it spooling down then back up the next gear... I don't think it's quiet, personally, but I don't want it to be either!

It may just be me but I can usually hear the fuel pump before I figure out if the car is blown or turbo'ed. Loud fuel pump is a dead giveaway. That and other electric pumps. Then I just think - "what's that noise...oh low mount turbo."

For the record, TWS and I have the same setup, and last I checked neither of us has a clue why his is SO MUCH LOUDER. I mean really, mine is effectively silent. :dunno:

Turbo = quiet - STS system = quiet and invisible under the hood

Supercharger = loud - gear drive is always engaged.
