Well, I am pulling the Wilwood brake kit and going with a little bit different setup. So whoever is looking for a nice new Wilwood kit its in the classified section. More info to come on the build.

Looking good. I'm doing the same thing... excepting I'm going straight for the 370. Not going to mess around with my stock motor. I'd rather sell it and put that towards my 370 than blow it up! Good luck with it!

well i havent updated this thread for some time. I had some custom piping made for the setup with some powder coating and ceramic coating the headers along with buying a posi to strengthen my rearend a little bit so it can hold the power until I go with a moser next year. The car will be on the dyno tuesday and then hopefully picking up the car friday. heres a few more teaser pics.

Nice build man, I wish I knew this was up here a couple weeks back. i was at straightline getting a dyno tune. BTW, I put down 335whp-350ft/tq on that same dyno so your car is doing good for that initial baseline. See the mods in my sig to get an idea of what suspension to think about. I did the suspension up front before I get a D1 for this winters project. I'd love to see the car once you are done with it as it is damn near exactly what I'm going to do. D1 with 8psi and hope the trans and rear end last a little bit before getting a moser and FLT built A4. I'd imagine you are local to straightline. Are you getting any gauges? I've been thinking about at least getting a vac/boost gauge and trans temp. Where do you hale from? I'm out of Joliet/Shorewood area.

Yeah, I am local. Downers grove/Woodridge area so it is literally a 20 min drive and im there. Straightline has awesome workers there and they keep me up to date with everything that is going on and the prices are pretty darn good as well compared to the other local shops I checked out. Next year I will be going back to them to start the work on a rearend/trans along with a nice engine build to put this thing moving out along with a nice show setup. I need some gauges but I have no idea which i want yet.. so I will just do some more research until then.

Get a wideband!!!!...I've leaned out a couple times and its probably saved my ***. It was all silly **** that I fixed on the side of the road too. Get a wideband and atleast a fuel pressure gauge. I run a 3 gauge piller and it has boost, fuel pressure, and a wideband. Dont skimp here because it could save your *** lol

i really want to follow this build, since this is the exact thing i am looking at doing.
Why you going with the P and not the D ? are you using stock bottom end and valvetrain?

6psi 490rwhp 470tq at 5900 rpm!! if I got new valve springs it would eliminate the valve float and I would be at about 525rwhp at 6300ish rpm. So i am verrrryyyy pleased!
and it is the D1SC. :p

well I haven't updated this thread in awhile.... So I took the car to the track about 5 or so months back just to see what it can do first time out. well i hit 12.6 @119, shitty 60 ft spinning off the start and snapping the procharger belt before the end of the quarter. So this thing has a lot in it. Straightline has had the car for the past few months, had a new bracket put on for the belt and a new corsa muffler since my other one had a weld break since it was from 02.. haha. Now I'm planning a rearend and trans and some valve springs should be a nice increase on that as well.
