You are lucky that you have not blown it up yet, I would not try to do anymore tuning until you add a fuel system. Bob

If he pulls that psi the head unit will take that much for as long as the motor and trans will keep working. That on a all stock motor is way over kill. Pull it down put in a set of good pistons and rods. ARP bolts all the thur it and good set of push rods and v/springs and go play then with 15 psi.

im trying to get something going with procharger for the brackets,
when all said and done it saved me around $900 making this set up, balancer, another crank pulley the blower tensioner bracket,
the factory belt drive line was so much simpler

we have hit 16psi on a spike once, waste gate didnt open fast enough for the rpms jumping so fast, there are set of rods, cam, flex plate and pushrods laying on my floor, pistons and springs not far off.

This confused me (If he pulls that psi the head unit will take that much for as long as the motor and trans will keep working)
are you saying the blower is plenty big? if so yes i plane on putting hi 7-8 on the tire by next summer, all on the factory belt line
this is with a walbro 255 incunjuction with the factory pump, on the video 58psi at wot 11-11.7 afr

Just do whatever you can to keep the charge temps down and leave your limiter at 6200. As long as there is no detonation, the motor should live. The trans and rear are a different issue.

im glad you bumped this thread up man, i forgot this was you. sounds like a beast by the way. I love the sound of the prochargers. After all this **** with my ride, makes me wish i had gone with a procharger. lol

Maybe the f1 will come next year, either that or a tc78

oh, and you were literally making 8 psi at 3500rpm??

That freaking blower moves some air!

EDIT:: AGAIN, lol

I want to see some pics of the setup man, underhood pics plz :0

i want to see this also. pics? i had to design a tensioner set up on my dakota to make 15psi with my d1sc. i HATED using the serp belt to run the charger. the FIRST thing i decided on my build now was not to run the same belt to run the blower. i did finally get it to work and made some good power for what it was.

i will try to get pics up tom.
we are in the process of tuning for the meth injection, the worst iat we have seen on a full pass was 135degs NO METH on 90+ day, just getting started with the meth and already got the iat down to mid to hi 70s same outside temps maybe a little hotter,
OO by the way the twins are keeping up on pressure but the 80lbs injectors are at 120-125% duty cycle this is at only 10degs of timing, im a little worried about the injectors being big enough to start bumping timing up, I was hope to get in the mid to hi teens for timing on the dyno this weekend, we will see

I have been talking to shannon at procharger for last 5 years on all my ****, he nows my crazy builds, the pulley setup on the car now he estimated that the car would see in the upper teens on the stock engine, so the waste gate was a most, the blower spins so fast at any rpm as soon as the BOV shuts the blower makes instant boost
factory crank pulley and a 4.25 blower pulley,
when the blower was on my bbc truck it could only muster out 16psi of boost at 70,000 blower rpm, its rated for 1600 cfm at red line

i only see one rear problem here, and that is the your air filter is right next to your headers?? What kind of IAT are you logging??

other then that, sweet mock up with that bracket, i guess i dont really see any choice on fiter placement, was there not enough room to turn the blower around?? ****, never mind, youd have to have a reverse rotation blower then. never mind.

EDIT: just noticed your IAT posts. thats not bad at all, must have a good IC then. keep it up. and return my email dammit, lol

EDIT 2: im completly weided out by your IDC. that is really high, especially for what you are making, if i had to guess, one of two issues are happening, not enough pressure on injectors, or you are making way more power then you think, I thought that 80s were good to 700whp or better with E85??

^^^^ damn are you launching the car at the track? 60ft??
just got back from the dyno (mustang dyno) im damn happy with 100% stock engine and drive line,
this was on 11psi of boost and started out at 10degs of timing, it made 424hp 387tq by the time we got done cleaning up the fueling and bumped timing up to 18degs on meth it put down 501 511tq, no need to push any harder, with out building the engine, i said i would put down 500, it did and im happy
we only turned it to 6000 rpm, the graph never stopped climbing. vid will be up later
