I think its a goner guys. I put everything back together with the new PCV setup and took it out for a ride...everything was fine under normal driving. Did a WOT pull, and blew the dipstick out again. Got it to the garage and popped the hood with the car still running, and took off the oil filler cap...billowing smoke. Everything I've read says thats the death knell.
Who needs a complete D1SC setup?![Sad](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_sad.gif)

You have a cracked ring land like previously mentioned. The smoke stack out of the filler cap is a dead give away.
Just fix it and keep the procharger

Take the heads off and check to see if there is any cylinder damage. If they look okay maybe just get a another piston to replace it....Then sell the motor and get an lq4 or 5.3 motor...... don't give up on having the blower. There are many options other than that....

Edit: Sorry missed the billowing smoke from above. ![Sad](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_sad.gif)
If that's the right description you likely have a serious problem. Still for a couple bucks it still may not be a bad idea to give this a shot.
First off you will get some smoke through the oil cap the way your PCV is currently routed. You do not have any vacuum draw at idle or part throttle right now, and not much draw under boost as you don't have a fresh air source.
Now if it is puffing a lot of smoke forcefully out of the oil cap then you have a piston problem.
Just for giggles pick yourself up a small breather filter from the auto parts store of choice for 10 bucks. Plumb that to the front passenger side valve cover port. Get another check valve from the parts store, I got mine from O'Rielly's for two bucks, hell get two and a 3/8" T fitting.
Run a vacuum line off the catch can to the T fitting. One outlet to check valve then to Intake manifold. Second outlet to check valve then to blower hat. Check valve should be set so air can only flow toward the supercharger.
Leave the back passenger VC port and the driver's VC port T'd together then route to the inlet on the catch can.
Start the car and pull the oil cap to see if you are still getting smoke through there, and you can put your hand over the hole to feel for pressure pulses. If you get either of those then you definitely have a problem, but otherwise it could have just been lack of evacuation paths for the pressure. At spinning the blower to only 8 to 10 PSI you are not drawing very much vacuum through the line to the blower which can cause the crank case pressure to stack up.

You got that right. "The REAL price of forced induction" sticky rings true. Unfortunately, I'm just all cashed out at this point.

Just get a good Lq4 and keep the D1. I pushed my stock Lq4 at 630rwhp for 20k miles before it finally popped two pistons. If you keep it in the 550rwhp range it will last for a long time and they are cheap.

I'll rebuild the motor I have with forged rods/pistons and good components, and come back to the FI world later when I have the coin. XtremeDime might even talk me into a turbo setup this time

Procharger kit is off the car and up for sale in the classifieds if anyone is interested.
