Default Installing 3 Bar map sensor on LS6 intake.

I have a ls6 intake on my car. Picked up the MSD 3 bar map with the ls1speed pigtail. My question is..do i just leave the stock map sensor in the back of the intake? Then with the vaccum nipple on the back of the ls6 intake..do i T it off to the new map sensor? Or do i just cap that nipple..and run the vaccum line straight to the 3 bar map sensor. thanks guys

I left the stocker there and just ran a vacuum line to the three bar.

Did you cap the small vaccum nipple on the ls6 intake?

the port to the left (in my pic for ex) runs the mix selector on the hvac panel.

factory map has nothing to do with that.. is mounted directly into the hole i threaded .

Hmm ok. Theres a small vaccum line in the back of the intake. I blew it off last year in a run down the strip.

Can't you just plug the stock MAP sensor line to the new MAP sensore and the plug off the nipple on the old one? Just wondering as this is what I did. Haven't fired it up yet though.

Guys, what's the best way to get pressure signal to 3-bar MAP? I'm going to leave stock MAP in place, just in case. Do I tee into the line under the stock MAP that goes to the front?

edit: think I found it. Rubber line comes easily off the intake near stock MAP sensor; I think I'll put T-piece in there so that it gets the cleanest possible signal.

Stock MAP is sitting very loose (at least this is how it feels, I can move it by hand veeery much). What can be done to eliminate boost leak this will cause?

Help! What can you do to loosely sitting MAP sensor in LS6 manifold? I suspect I have oil leaking because of that...

Looks like something custom with lots of "epoxy"? I guess to do it good I would have to remove intake?

not necessarily. i used black rtv on that black bulkhead fitting of the intake to help it seal under high boost.

the part you need to see is the 1/8 npt fitting that was drilled/tapped in place of the original female map hole. and the 3 bar sensor zip tied to the brake booster line

How close would you put the 3-bar to the opening you tapped into? I'm asking because I have my 3-bar a good foot from the port I tapped into and am trying to figure out why my car won't idle right.
