Default vaccum questions? booster...

Im finally at the point of running the vaccume hoses....Where do i get the vaccum source?

If i grab vaccum from the brake booster will there be any effect on the booster once im in boost? Like its meant for vaccum but what will happen to it once air is getting forced into it???

Also what kind of fitting did you guys use to T into the booster hose?

Where else is there to grab it from?

Why would you be using your brakes while in boost? lol The booster itself will be fine, Ive never heard of anyone blowing a booster because of boost.

Tee Barb 1/4" 1/4" 1/4" from the EVAP vac line.
Booster is 1/2", never found any TEE with 1/2" ends and 1/4 or 1/8 tee barb.

You use your brakes while accelerating? - there should be vacuum to your booster while your applying the brakes because you are not on the accelerator.
And yes, there should be a one way check valve

I tapped into the booster hose. I had to make the T. You don't need a one way valve.

The fitting that connects the hose to the brake booster is a one way check valve. You wouldn't need to add another one.

I teed into the line between the intake and the booster also with no problems.

When i said 'YES there should be a check valve" the Brake booster has as One way check valve already there, no need for another but one is needed!

how are people 't' ing into the brake hose? it is a 1/2" hose no? most T's are for 3/8 that I have found.

I have a conversion vehicle actually and the fitting on my brake booster is already 3/8, but i havent been able to find a reduction fitting from 1/2 to 3/8. Can anyone shed light on this?
