I predict you barely make 400 at the wheels if that, but I would think a nice kick of tq down low at least.

Not a slam, just doubt that thing will move enough air.

Neat project.

You dont mention anything about fuel system?

I would think a cheap meth system would be the way to go, cool down the charge and get your fuel/octane you need.

I doubt itll break 350, but we'll know soon enough

Fuel system is standard for the swap. Walbro 255, C5 filter/regulator, AN6 line from tank to rail, 36lb injectors. Should be plenty enough

I dont have the patience to refill an alcohol tank every day/other day for a DD. The twin car will run it along with the large FMIC, but not this one. If IAT temps get to be a problem Ill run a FMIC, but never injection

If you have supporting mods it should make close to 350 on its own. I did 353 on ported stock TB, LSP lid, Pacesetter headers, TSP Y, and a Hooker cat back. I'm guessing closer to 400, maybe a bit more.

Bear in mind it's a 5.3 still, not a true LS1. The displacement is smaller and the cam even more mild

excellent work!
how come u didnt use the 3.8 charge pipe outlet? just cheeper to make your own?
but if u decide to go with a cobra sc, will prolly have to convert to 8rib to drive it. or drive independent of accesories.
how much rpm are you turning? psig now minus fmic?
ever gonna go with smaller sc pulley?

Tbird collector hat outputs at a perfect 90* which would be right into the strut tower, plus its very restrictive. Easier to make my own to better fit my engine bay

This unit is 8 rib, Im just ignoring the rear two and using a 6 rib belt. GTP's use a 6 rip on a M90 too. If I can find an 8 rib crank, alt and PS pump pulleys Id love to upgrade, but with the wider belt, the length choices narrows so pulley placement becomes more critical. An independent system would be better, but for that trouble Id custom make a cog system using salvaged OHC timing components

Im keeping the RPMs under 6000 since the bottom end is dead stock. This would allow a slightly smaller pulley without redlining the charger. Similar displacement V8 swaps saw 5-7psi. Very rarely were they intercooled

I might go with a smaller pulley eventually, but Id need headers, cam and LS6 intake first

Looks like you have to pull the blower to change the engine oil?

I havent built the fill neck yet or welded it to the valve cover. It will go about where the #6 coil used to be. In the end, I wont have to pull the blower, but it only takes about 5 mins to strip off completely

touche on a ingenuity. hope i spelled that word right lol. one helluva job man. I think Eaton or magna should send u some tvs 1900 or 2300 setups for free just to see how they do in a setup like this. can't wait to see the end results. props on a job well done.

I started looking into how much these blowers cost and I was stunned at what I found: People yank these blowers, and the bigger m112 of cobras, and sell them on ebay for CHEAP! Most are upgrading to something bigger for more boost, but I saw m112s on ebay, with stock 39lb injectors for $400. M90s were going for less than $70 usually.

I could see myself doing something like this one day. It's definitely a mad max kind of mod, with lots of rigging and welding, but that would be lots of fun. I always wondered how I could integrate junkyard scowering into modern hotrodding and this is probably the best way to do it.

Few questions:
On your old setup, or this one, have you had any problems with it throwing belts?
What sort of problems do you think you'll run into?
What did you mount the rear of the tray to?

Awesome build, we need some numbers and a report on reliability.

I've seen quite a few setups like this and have always liked them. I think the original was toohighpsi.com's twin M90 thunderbird. I've seen a few on TPI cars and always liked them. I think two M90s with a stealth ram would be a hell of a setup.

Unless you had some aftermarket hood that gave some mega clearance over the valve cover area then I don't see this happening on a 4th gen up top. Maybe there's room on the bottom side somewhere but I did a quick glance while the vision of the blowers size was still fresh on my mind and it looks like it would be extremely cramped.
