Cheap supercharger kit
The T-bird unit the most compact with a very simple 3 bolt mount pattern. Best part of GEN V blowers are the teflon coated rotors but luckily they swap right into the T-bird cases, or I can have the rotors sent off to be coated on their own. I didnt see the need for a shot in the dark swap

I didn't want the trip to end. Two things:
1. I've owned and driven several supercharged 3800 vehicles. Listening to a blower whine on the way to school, or to get groceries, or just joyriding is no new thing to me.
2. I strongly believed the M90 was undersized for the application. I've seen what the Grand Prix crowd can do when they try to max the older M90's out; you get a really awesome sounding hairdryer.
I think the 5.3 is spinning this charger about twice as fast as I'm used too; it really screams. Even idling and slowely pulling through parking lots, the blower sounds like a dogbox transmission. People everywhere were craning their heads. Once you stomp on the gas, all you can hear is the exhaust until getting up to speed or around 4000 RPM's - his exhaust is LOUD. But the absolute coolest thing about the car, is the blowoff valve! Wow, what a serious sound!
Hopefully, John will get some video up of the car in action. Maybe if we have good weather tomorrow, we can take some time out joyriding,?
(charging the camera)I'm really impressed with how much more fun this car is with such a cheap upgrade. Absolutely 300% more fun to drive! And it actually did improve performance, or so says the dyno. Now I'm gonna get outta here before John kills me for stealing too much of his glory. :3
Started around 5psi down low and was 1psi at redline. Looking at these results Id wager a Cobra/lightning M112 should be flat out IDEAL for a 4.8/5.3 build looking for respectable numbers without breaking the bank
Still though, my $250 kit puts out around 60hp on top of a stock 5.3 truck, so it seems pretty reasonable to me. Figuring 20% drivetrain loss would put me about 340hp at the flexplate which is right in line with the Maggy M90 kits as predicted
How much more air does the m112 flow than the m90 at the same rpm?
