Installed a d1sc with a front mount, car idles fine but but won't boost! As I rev the car the vacuum increases and that's it! There are no leaks in the piping and the BOV won't close! I need idea bc Im lost!

either the impeller is not spinning or there is a huge leak somewhere. Did you do a leak test? Check all the vacuum lines? check to see if the impeller is actually spinning? You could start the car and remove the piping to the ic or throttle body and make sure the charger is pushing air.

the car has a base tune on it and run and idles fine, but i noticed i wasnt get the power i should and i though my boost gauge was bad when it kept reading vacuum even under acceleration but i swapped them out and still the same result. i pulled the are cleaner while the car was running and had suction.

So when you mash the throttle it does not read at least 0? If it is reading vacuum when the throttle is mashed there is a prob with the gauge or the way you have some lines run.

My car ran like total **** with a base tune. It definitely wasn't even going to think about boost. Let the local tune it while on the dyno and then a little more on the street and eventually hit 20lbs of boost on the street, no problem. Just a thought. But the base tune could still be pretty far off.

the car reads like -12 at idle and then when i rev the motor its falls even more to -20. i had a digital boost gauge and swapped it out with a regular one and got the same results! the blow. i have the BOV and the gauge running of the same pcv port. could that be part of the problem?

Yeah, not sure how you have your setup run, but you should definitely hear the difference between the bypass valve being open or closed.

Is your BOV closing when you rev the car? The reference line that you have hooked to it is after the throttle body?

do you have the CORRECT ROTATION HEAD UNIT?

vacuum should NOT increase, lol.

In all serious, did you piece the kit together or buy it complete? Just making sure. I know that might seem like an *** hole question, but ive seen weirder ****.

have you gone WOT? if you stable the throttle down what does the vacuum do? also this is all being done while your driving not in park correct?

I could be wrong but running the BOV and Boost gauge off the PCV port may not give you the proper readings or let your BOV operate correctly. Try hooking them up to a different port behind the TB.

Running it off your PCV port? Wouldn't that mean once you hit the throttle, the boost gauge will see the crankcase pressure.. aka more vacuum under more throttle..

The PCV is disconnected, I'm just using the port that runs into the manifold right behind the throttle body. Yes I pieced the kit together and I bought the head unit from a member on here and he never said anything about it being reverse rotation. The member I bought it from was horrible to deal with and it wouldn't surprise me that he would lie or not know what he had. As for the BOV, it's a tial 50mm and I bought the hot pink spring bc I read on here that's what I needed for a supercharger, but when I checked my vacuum at idle with is about -12 it says I need the black spring. So I guess my first step will be to call procharger and get the specs on my s/c

Give them the numbers off it. More than likely its a regular rotation unit and you need a reverse.

Some massive airflow restriction that increases with load and RPM is the only thing I can think of that would cause more vacuum under acceleration, it almost has to be the blower rotating the wrong way. Easy enough to check, remove the belt and see what happens. If it goes to 0psi on acceleration you know the SC is backwards.

I am going to second what was said above. Check for correct rotation of the blower. If you pieced the kit together it would be easy to over look. I think there have been a few threads on this already.

I am no expert but I dont think a BOV would work correctly. You need a bypass valve and they are very different. I believe the operate in opposite ways.

Just my .02.
