Very very nice write up my friend.
A few questions. I see that you moved your alternator and lost ac which I thought was pretty much a one or another type of deal. Do u have to do both? I'm looking to keep ac and didn't want to have to buy a 600 dollar tubular k. Is there a way around it? What intercooler did u use?
I'm about to tackle this project while putting in my new motor. I'm 21 now so I'm going to try to make the younng crowd proud.
Again great write up and BEAUTIFUL car!!

There are ways to keep AC do a search and look thru those threads. Most require a K-member though. MWC's k members are like 420 shipped give or take a few for shipping and come with motor mount stands built in.
You could always run the passenger pipe around the back and dump the DP out the fender and retain AC and the stock K.

Probably could go 12 psi with afrs staying 11.0 and keep timing below 14 degrees. I got a junky stock ls1 long block pushing 18 psi and nothing has been added for strength. Its all in the tune with these engines. They have proven to ridiculous numbers but realistically I'd stay 12 psi or less and it should survive beating on it if tune is right.

Great write up man!, im currently in the process of doing this exact build, im using a racefab t4 turbo manifold, however the question I have for you is about the gasket between the exhaust flange and the turbo manifold flange. Where do I find these? Cant seem to find them anywhere, I keep finding the donut gasket. Did you make yours? Or is high temp rtv ok? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks,,,,,Larry.

Oh and I know that this thread is four years old but thanks to the OP for making this guide! This is exactly what I am planning to do on my 5.3l vortec swap!

Good write-up, while that is a pretty good looking setup, I think beginners will be surprised on what they can build (and have working well) with just a few cutting tools and a junky flux welder.
