Nothing wrong with doing **** cheaper. I would rather buy the materials and do things myself than pay other people to do it, Id even do it if I broke even because atleast I learned something.
I wonder if the first person to flip truck manifolds around got the same kind of negative response.

You can keep your opinion to yourself if you cant help the thread man, I did the ls1 swap myself, wired it all up myself, custom fabbed the motor mounts, custom fabbed a true dual exhaust, rebuilt the tranny... I am looking for other options that arent as expensive.... theres nothing wrong with that. Im not complaining about the price, i feel its a fair price, its just not in the budget for this car.
I know exactly what it will cost to turbo the car, i have a 8 second mustang just sitting in the shop right now. I know what stuff costs, and I know when I can do it a little cheaper, you should stay out of this thread too.

your only option is to make it your self but you can't afford the mandrels
oh and don't mouth off to a mod

i think im gonna buy the ls1 flanges and buy the bends and make it myself... i can afford mandrel bent Us... or im gonna use the passenger side 98 manifold and reverse it, and then use a truck on the otherside... i dont have AC
as for mouthing off to a mod, first of all, im not mouthing off, second, as a mod you should know there are cheaper ways to do things not the ridiculously expensive SW stuff, their **** is top notch but its just not in this budget, for now. ya need to relax man.

ok we told you about reversing the manifolds, you said before you didnt want to do that so it would look good, know ya change your mind, ok.
but that will be your cheapest bet.
you might also look into some shorty headers on ebay, then weld some vbands to them, but not sure if it will fit in your application.
good luck.

the build is for a friend. he has a kid and cant get a second job, unless maybe his wife quit her job and took care of the kid the whole time, but then they still would have to pay for rent, food, gas, and baby stuff.
how about some posts that contain some content instead of dumb suggestions

i heard big block ford headers are spaced like LS headers, maybe there is a shorter header kit I can re-flange?

IN 3rd gen its difficult because ther is no standard for mounts.
what works for one guy may not work for another. the mounts come into play alot. also the accesories may interfere. also depends what accesory configuration the car has
ive actually made 3 kinds of turbo manifolds for 3rd gens. but i decided against marketing them. since 50/50 they may not be 100% bolt on.
all made from tubular steel.
but i have the passsenger side hi mount with x-over like on my car now.
"trucks manifolds" with x/y pipe crossover. type
and im currently working on tt. which believe or not are actually the easiest to fabricate imo. but need s coil pax relocated becuase interfere with dp. and would prolly be the easiest to market.
with manifolds it gets hard with the triangle flanges and i do not weld cast iron.

I'm not sure the GTO ones will work. It again looks like the steering knuckle will get in the way. I'm dealing with steering shaft issues and have had to make a crazy up and over bend on the back primary. I can see were having diffrent motor mounts would make it hard. Someone needs to make Solid mounts for 3rd gens with LS-Juans
