Cool Can I get this death turbo to spool?

Gigantic Turbo! Johnny like skinny girls but never turns down a Fattie

ok. so I just picked this up in a trade. Its a Garrett brand new rebuild. I did research and found out: in the T18A90 family, its a/r .96 on compressor and 1.32 a/r turbine. i measured and just eyeballed rough numbers since I dont have a caliper right now.

major---
4.75in compressor 120mm
5in turbine 126mm

minor----what matters
3.75 cold=95mm
4in hot= 101mm

so 63 trim for compressor and trim = 64 turbine

would this even spool on a 346ci? can a map be generated based on this info? how big of a motor would I need hypothetically to run this on the street (i.e. full spool by 3500rpm)?

anyone have any thoughts about this thing?

Looks similar to one I had awhile back, the large exhaust side will be hard to spool at 3500, if you had a large cube motor 400+ you could do alot better with it. See if you can get a divided housing for it and quick spool valve like Zombie uses, that might help if your really set on using this turbo.

oops i misread the description: "YOU MUST HAVE A NON DIVIDED MANIFOLD! If you have a divided manifold we offer the amazing quality Virtual Works manifolds to suit your needs." quoted from the store that sells them... my mistake.

uhhh the title of your thread....never turn down a fattie....

91mm...compressor & 106mm turbine.= big motor...500cid might do it by 3500.

Your looking at a 70 to 76HPS to do it by 3500 on a 346.

I didn't think my motor would spool at 3500.

my TC76 spools at 3000 ish on my 370. that thing on a 346. that will be a narrow powerband. use lots of nitrous and save for a 408. just sell it and go with a 76. who knows though maybe your car will be a freak. S480s are huge and a big PITA to spool especially on a 346. you should probably do more research though. if you have an auto you may have better chances.
