Which meth kit for around 300
I was hoping to purchase a meth kit for around 300, hopefully this is possible. My mods are in my sig, I am currently making 525 hp to the wheels but of course would like to make more hp. My brother has a alkycontrol kit, and he likes his kit, but when i look on ebay alkycontrol is selling their kits for 600+. ?
I plan to have the car retuned for the meth to make more power, not really looking to add meth just as a safety measure and I understand the risk of the kit failing, so what would be the best way to monitor engine vitals and know if a nozzle is clogged or any other kit failure (wideband o2 or other method)? Is there a good kit for around 300 that is reliable?

wideband in the car will never hurt, i know you said 300limit but if you buy a AIS kit http://www.alcoholinjectionsystems.com/ rodney will set you up, I have is big pump and running three 14gal/hour nozzel for two years never had any problems,

I looked at my dyno print out and it's not on there, and it's been about a year and a half since I had it tuned, so I forget where it's at now, I checked out the website and was wondering the benefit of the much more exspensive kit trunk mount kit vs. fender mount kit) It looks like the trunk kit is pre-assembled, but I don't mind spending the extra time on the install if it saves me a few hundred bucks (260 vs. 549). It also appears the more exspensive trunk kit is progressive, how important is this for making more power?

the progressive systems are usually used for high boost numbers where you are spraying alot of meth, (moving some series air) the trunk kit, they look great, it all depends how picky you are with your car for appearance, i have the fender kit (non prog) and it provides just fine for 700ish on the tire

From what I have been reading, it looks like the more meth you spray the cooler your intake temps will be. Is there a such thing as spraying too much? If getting a more exspensive kit that sprays much more meth will help me pick up 10+ more hp than I will prob spend the extra for the kit that can get me the extra power. But if it's just a matter of a cleaner install and they can spray the same amount than I would be content with the cheaper kit.

Hp is way way more dependent on your tuning of the kit versus the kit itself. They all operate basically the same. There are on off kits and progressive. I only use progressive kits. I turn on around 2-5 psi and ramp up to full on at the peak boost and vary the peak by jet size. Most of the kits I ve been doing lately I run two or even three nozzles, and measure the iat. Lowest number wins.
Also, most of the turbo cars I do, run one 340 pump, and 60 lb injectors (hey cost effective) and they max those set ups out, so they live on water/meth because its needed as fuel not just cooling.

I've been running Alkycontrol kit maxed out with 100 % meth for two years now. My motor is doing great
It supplies about 30% of my cars fuel so if it does fail, yes my motor will most likely have problems...lol but I'm not worried about it with my meth kit

I plan on having the car tuned for the meth, so logic says get the kit with the best rep and parts, not that I wanna spend 680 on a meth kit, but this leads me to my next question. I still have a MAF setup and a seperate IAT probe in my IC piping and it's located about 2 feet before the MAF. Should I put the nozzle before the IAT and thus before the maf? I was told that the nozzle should be placed close to the thorttle body. Not sure if this is correct or not. I was also told that you should not spray 100% meth over the IAT sensor and though the MAF? Is this correct

I have a metal ic pipe coming off my ic and this is where my bov is and then right after that I have the iat, then my ic piping is formed silicone piping for about a foot or so, and it was easier to put an iat into the metal piping then the silicon hose.

My alky motor just went out, and i cant find that company any more. I think if can get a motor for it i will be fine, but all my fittings are brass, with pipe threads, and that first company has press in connection, will the pump they have fit?
