Default 2010 base 4.8 truck 2wd mpt76q trim build

shooting for 500-550rwhp on 12-14psi stock motor, then throwing in a z06 cam and going for close to 600rwhp.

eventually swapping in a junkyard th400, we know this 4l65e is going to hate life.

390 miles on the truck....

stock z06 injectors

I would be worried about overheating having that intercooler infront of the radiator. Maybe not though, Im not an expert on turbo builds for trucks. lol

I am not an expert on anything but where do you think intercoolers are located on diesel trucks?

No idea, Ive never owned, worked on or been interested in a diesel. I assumed they were down lower in the bumper like the majority of other turboed cars.

Intercoolers on diesels are on the front just where you have yours. Great placement on IC. Truck is coming along nicely!

I would do an 80e swap instead of the 400. I had a performabuilt L3 65e in my truck for almost two years and it held up to 550-600rwhp. I have now swapped in a FLT L5 80e for peace of mind. Your build looks good. Keep up the good work.

The L3 is $3,100 with a billet output shaft I believe. I'm sure the t400 will be cheaper but I would hate to lose OD in a brand new truck.

I love it guys! now get some numbers

oh, and for the record on the IC placement, mine blocks half of my radiator vertically and i have a trans cooler blocking the upper left corner, and an ac condensor blocking the whole thing, 90* and ac on, and i still run under the half mark even making pulls, and on stock T-stat

OH, and do that to the G8 Turbo FTW

EDIT: Second picture is priceless, Wife- Hunnie, what ya doing?? YOU- Ohhhhhhhhhhhh............... Nothin
