Default Stock plug wires or aftermarket?

Went to get a tune today and there was some breaking up. There is a few stockers in there and a few MSD's. Lookin to change them all but wanted to see which direction we should be heading. What is the norm for FI? I thought it was to put bigger aftermarket wires in but i cant seem to find a tghread about it so I wanted clarification! thanks!

I've been seeing a lot of problems with the MSD's doing that. Lately I've been using and selling the Taylor wires instead, as they positively click. Bob

I'm not lookin to be able to say 800 on stock wires. I'm hopin to see if it's better to do stickers or aftermarket. I have some msd in there and don't like their engagement. Thanks for the help!

I think what he is trying to say is that stock ac delco wires are capable of handling the job...your break up issue is probably from those MSD wires they are know for doing that

I took it like when people say that the stock short block is good for 600. Was lookin for more of a what is better to use? I plan on gettin new wires since the MSD problem seems to be a wide spread one and not jsut mine. But I dont wanna waste money on stockers or aftermarket if they arent the right choice.

It seems odd that more people arent chiming in on this. Not that its a hot topic just that its easy to drop in a comment and help out!

Another problem I have with the stockers is their unwillingness to bend outta the way of the headers. That is something that I like about the MSD's.

Is there a aftermarket wire that is the norm for this issue? OR is there a way to make the stockers bend? I tried to bend one and it doesnt feel like something that is gonna bend before it breaks.
Thanks

Seen way too many aftermarket sets fail or just fall off. Stock all the way.

Stock or Msd's would be my choice. The msd's fit so tight that you need to use something to lube them. If you do that they work perfect.
