What's the largest T4 turbo that would drop in where my TC76 is now?

only thing that will be physically even in the same realm for size with a bigger turbine will be the GTS wheeled turbos or the Comp 80/79 with the 100 trim straight cut turbine

I am lazyand dont feel like having to change anything, so i am just sending my turbo to Comp and having them cut a 1.32 hotside to fit the tc78. and see the results of that

had been thinking of trying a clip on the current turbine but can't find enough info of it being done on larger turbos to take the plunge

and the BW T4 stuff is still HUGE compared to the TC
Do not clip the F-1 68. Its already casted with a clip from the factory. Clipping it beyond that will drop the efficiency of the turbine down.

I find listings for PTE7675's and PTE7682's. Are these just mis-markings and in fact Precision only makes the 76 inducer compressor with an 75/82 turbine? Or is there an 82/xx turbine as well?

I'm pretty sure there's a 1.50 AR turbine housing you could probably switch to. I'm not sure how much of a difference it would make, but it might help it not choke so quickly.

2.) how many lbs of boost?
3.) what intake?
4.) what size fuel injectors?

thanks

I tried tracking down something bigger last year to no avail. Plus for the price of these housings I rather just upgrade the whole damned thing, haha.

I am pretty sure the 76GTS uses the same turbine wheel as the Garrett GT-42, which is 81.3mm (82mm). Sounds like the 76GTS spools a little quicker because of a lighter modified shaft, here is some info

turbonetics mid frame turbine is simular to prescision 75mm turbine

mid frame = T4

Hmm, so that prolly brings coolant along with it. If that's the case, no way lol. I'll look into it more though. PTE76 still looking at the top of the list as of now.

I might go ahead and buy an S475 and see if I can make it fit somehow. It's huge but it's such a bargain for it's capability. And if I can't use it I could just resell it or put it on something else. I have been thinking of a low boost setup for my 4.3L Blazer haha...

same size as a gts76 I think, just have to run a larger down pipe. I'm gonna pick one up to try the fit on my Z06 this week. I'll report how the fit looks compared to my 76
