Very popular choice for tuning and considered more accurate due to the wider band range it has over other brands supposedly. I have only ever heard of complaints when it is left in the car as a permanent install due to having to fresh air calibrate it so much but this was mostly for people who used the LC1 kit with the XD16 gauge as opposed to the LM2 hand held which still requires fresh air calibration but only once and a while. But the XD16 combo was hit and miss as some said it never did require recalibration but once and a while where others said it was every time they turned it on. I am still considering, trying it as a permanent install and using the XD16 gauge to see how it works as the kit still allows you to hock up to your laptop for logging and tuning input to efi-live or hp-tuners so if the gauge gives me problems then I will just sell it. This is all from my research anyway; I don’t have any personal experience with it yet other than watching and asking questions of a St. Louis tuner that tuned my buddies head and cam build a while back.

That is the possibly worst statement I have ever heard. It is there to let you know that it is at 11.5. What happens if you have a pump fail at WOT or a clogged filter or a stuck injector? Then how will you know that your AFR at WOT is still 11.5? The wideband is a must for any car especially a FI or nitrous car.

Its as important as a oil pressure gauge and fuel gauge. DONT get rid of it.
I have the xd16 and LM1 and love them. The only thing I dont like is having to calibrate it. But I just do that every week or so. Just have to make sure when you go to calibrate it that its been sittin over night or some long period of time where there wont be remenants of emissions in the pipe. It helps that I have a open downpipe and dont have a full exhaust makin ya have to worry that it didnt get all fresh air in there.
