Heh...do tell? I have a 4L80E I will be installing sooner than later. Even with your "modified" jack, it was still hard?

Great looking build! Those 80s are beasts! I was gonna use one in my car, but I figures with the gear I'm running OD won't be a must have.

I dont think id call it hard but it was definitely a PITA. its so big and heavy that even on the jack its difficult to move around, on top of needing to fit into a tunnel that is only slightly big enough. I must point out I did it by myself so with a buddy it might not be so bad but honestly ill do everything in my power to r&r it with a lift or pay someone else to do it

thanks man, im using a Miller Passport 180 with .035 wire and CO2. I really need to get a bottle and some C25, plus some .025 wire, but the Passport was designed for CO2 so it runs surprisingly well with hardly any spatter at all. some of the parts ive taken to work and welded with the Miller Syncrowave 350 (tig) but most has been done at home.

I keep waiting to build something I can take to work and weld with the Migs we have but no dice yet. running a 440 volt 3 phase machine with .045 wire, water cooled torch, and Axial Spray transfer is just too much for anything thinner than 3/8 LOL

back from the dead, the car saw daylight today for the first time in over a year! while its still in a huge state of under construction, it was nice to see it and sit in it and feel like I still have a nutz fast v8 rwd American rocket. now to find time to work on it some more.....
