Arrow My PT76 Front Mount Build Thread.....

Alright i have been working on my car for a while now and im still not done although im shooting for her to run again near the end of this year.....Keep in mind im 22 and doing this build in my father's garage with limited tools/budget, this is also my VERY 1st build of anything so i have ALOT to learn if you guys feel i need to change anything or did something wrong please feel free to tell me as im still a "newb"........

Alright here's what the build consists of:

Aluminum 5.3 (stock bottom)
Z06 cam
317's with crane springs
GM MLS
Spohn solids
Victor Jr.
Etc.

Turbo setup consists of:

Truck manifolds
Precision 76mm
2.5 mild steel crossover
3inch dp
34x13x4 intercooler
Etc.

Time for some pics!

Old motor out!

New motor and Spohn solids in!

Mounting the FMIC......

Mocked up heads......

I went to mock up the Victor Jr. setup and found out quik i had to do some cutting!

After i got that done i decided to notch the k-member and throw on the manifolds......

Next day i got curious and decided to see what it all would look like!

The other day i got crazy and deleted the cruise/abs and started to cut the radiator support i still need to lower the base which im hoping to have that done this weekend along with swapping in the 5.3 cam!

I also figured i'd paint the valve covers as well while there off!

Thats about it for now until i can scrape up some cash and buy new parts i will keep this thread updated as much as i can!

Looking good so far, do you have any pics or details on how much you had to notch the k-member?

i love that paint you have on the valve covers. you should do your intake and other stuff on the motor with it. that is pretty cool. hell even the cold piping and compressor would look cool done with that.

Just as Miller said it will be a 3inch drivers side exit thru the bumper.....

As for the fuel system i will be running twin walboros with stock size feed/return and 60lb injectors.....

just use the EVAP line as the return and use the stock feed. just get a nice Fuel pressure regulator with a boost referece port. I am running two -8 lines for my new twin setup and a -8 for a return.

5.3 doesn't have a 4" bore, you want to run the ones I posted a link to from Scoggin Dickey.
