I can check the signal voltage with a t-pin right? To rule it out anyway, evn if it was seeing the 4.5 volts, wouldnt it still fire and rev up with the throttle open??

4.5v = 100% Throttle position. Pretty much all tunes have a 100% TPS clear flood condition. What this means is that if the motor is flooded, you hold the throttle wideopen and turn it over. The computer shuts off the injectors to help clear out the fuel in the cylinder. Most stock tunes are set at about 80% TPS clear flood. If you disconnect the TPS, or cut the signal wire, the TPS goes to full voltage (4.5-5.0) which equals 100% or WOT throttle. If the car previously has had or has any WOT electronic switches wired in, the TPS signal wire has been tapped.

I would think all you would need is a voltmeter with a sharp probe and to know which pin it is at the PCM.

Got it figured out yet? Do you have a MAP adaptor harness on the car? What injectors are you running & are they low or high impedance?

I have 80lb./hr. injectors, high impedance(no driver) which ever stock is...drawing a blank right now, I have the stock MAP plug, with extended wires to go the the map sensor, due to the intake having such a high mount for the MAP. What harness? my plug goes right into the MAP sensor i have, its a gm sensor, do i need an adapter?? Maybe thats my issue?!?!?

The type of MAP sensor you have dictates if you need a harness or not, I have a GM 3 bar, 3 wire sensor but the plug is a little different, its also the type that requires a vacuum line. I bought a harness adapter and after pulling my hair out for 3 days trying to figure out why it would crank run for just a sec and die realized that 2 of the pins were in the wrong cavities. Not saying its your problem but it sure drove me nuts.

View real time data on the scanner, with the key on and the engine NOT running the MAP should read 100KPA.

Ok, so I didnt forget about you guys, just been busy lately, was running part numbers double checking everything and I ran the part number for the MAP sensor on here....its a 3.3 bar, WTF!! So being tuned for a 2 bar is obviously not gonna work. Now the question is do I tune it for the 3.3 BAR or go and get a 2 BAR MAP sensor from GM? And if so, what part number is the 2 bar that I need, direct replacement style, 12580698? Thanks again guys

So, it was the MAP sensor after all... I would get a 2 bar sensor.

Ya, definitely sounds sick, put the wideband on it today, to make sure im not g oing lean at all while driving around, even short bursts at only 6-7 pounds of boost, its at 11.6. Thanks to speed inc. on gettin damn close on the tune!!! Only one issue...I can drive it all around, doing whatever, but as soon as I do a lil burst, it wont idle....let it sit for a lil while, start it up, and its better again...wondering if its maybe hitting knock? Imma put in some 110 tomorrow and see what happens(if it is knock, then it wont do it on 110 on only 7 pounds) AFR is good, dunno, either way, i can drive around and its all worth it!!

Default How is she running now?

Hi 020NN20,

Glad ya got it sorted out! Any build thread pics? I am about to start my build thread as well with a similar drive train. I have a 74 camaro, 6.0 LQ4 (317's), built turbo 400, 3.73 gears, will be running the pro flo xt intake with a 75MM turbo.

What year is your trans am, cam specs? By nice 317 heads are they ported? I may try to lightly home port mine with a nice valve job. Luv to hear more details on your car, combo, drive train. I want mine to get down to about 3200 lbs with out me in it. Still deciding on what cam and how big of a cam to put in it. Guessing somewhere beween a LS6 and about a 600 lift turbo cam similar to Fm14 with a 114 LSA. My car will be a weekend warrior lots of strip and some street.

How do you like the Xt intake?
