Can any of these be positioned in a 94 Formula so that they get adequate air flow without cutting the nose? We don't have a nice grille or license plate cover we can cut.
That is a steal on PSJ's setup!

The specs for PSJ's intercooler will *not* fit in a LT1 camaro, though I know #CS-000AE-2 would with proper trimming of the radiator support for dishcharge clearance. Do not know about a trans-am (lt1).

Scott, we do not have them listed on the site.
As far as fittment, you will just have to use the measurements above to determine what will fit. These were all designed for F-bodies, but I am unsure on exactly what modifications were in mind.

Smokin, The blueprint doesnt show any mounting tabs, so I believe John had those tigged on over at SS racing, so you should be fine flipping it over.
I will ask them to paint the logo on the other way for you.
Still 3 in.

Man I am tempted to get on for my ATI setup on my truck. I have room to stand the intercooler up in the lower airdam of the truck, but none of these will fit or work right. I could lay the same one PSJ is using down right where the factory one is. hmmmm

What about using the CS-000AE-2 laying down between the framerails. I am not sure what truck you have, but I would have used the same IC on my 1999 Tahoe with the Procharger.

the CS-00AE-1 like PSJ using is exactly like the procharger 2 core that lays flat between the framerails behind the bumper. Its just larger, thicker and much better. It would actually fit as the inlets are at the same location offset on each end and ATI usings about 6" of silicone hose to connect the pipes comeing from the SC and to the intake from it. Just take the hoses off and connect it up with some couplers. Just have to add some mounting brackets. I have the denali bumper with the opening in the middle and was looking for a way to stand the intercooler up into the opening behind the bumper so that air goes directly onto it instead of the flap that ATI uses on most kits to deflect air up. Problem is that you have to reroute some of the tubing to get it to connect right and make mounts that hold the IC standing up instead of flat. Plus, there is not much room behind there and the frame rails, I measured it and might get a 4" core in there.
I only have a P1SC on a 6.0L with H/C from ARE. This intercooler I am sure would help but might be somewhat of an overkill for such a small blower. I working on E-fans now with a custom 4" intake tube from the MAF to the TB instead of the crappy stock one. Won't fit without E-fans as it is a very tight radius and hits the fan factory fan shroud.

ChrisB, why do you say my 'cooler won't fit a LT1 Camaro, I've seen the nose off of Z8's car and it looks like my 'cooler would fit in there. My only concern before we put it in was the width and whether the Pontiac fold-down headlights would clear (and they do).

I am about 95% sure that it will be too thick. The CS-000AE-2 is the design based of the specs I submitted when I was shopping for an intercooler. When test fitting an intercooler that was 3.51" thick it was already a tight fit. The specs for that one was based on what would reasonably fit as well as allow for good airflow to the radiator (daily driver setup, has to idle in Tx heat/humidity with the ac on, etc.). You may be able to fit it depending on how you mount it vertically, but I still think not. With some ~1" thick weatherstripping on mine I get a tight seal with the front clip and intercooler (weatherstripping is compressed) acting as a ducting.
Depending on how much work you want to do of course you can fit just about anything, but it will definitely not be "simple". The CS-000AE-2 with the bottom end tank duplicated and flipped on the top also fits well.
Also, if anyone knows, were these intercoolers actually flow tested with the tank configuration, and at what pressure drop is the flow rating at?

Chris, I doubt that the thickness of my intercooler is a problem. My intercooler sits in there. When you remove the front bumper support you end up having enough room depthwise to put a cooler that is even thicker than mine in there. My cooler sits back, and if you are going by one of my pictures it gives the illusion that it's almost flush with the cover and in fact it's like 6-10 inches back. Maybe one of the Speed guys can measure the distance back it is before the car is moved today.
