Default Budget turbo kit results inside..

Took my 71 Nova to the track today. Its got a forged stock CI 6.0 with a homebuilt turbo kit using LS4 manifolds and a Master Power GT45 turbo (68.9mm). Well since the turbo is sized a little small it makes big boost right away and my 315/17 Nittos didnt hook very well. Ran 14lbs of boost, let the 4L80E shift itself (column shift, bench seat lol) and tried my best to feather it off the line. Ran a 10.70 at 131. Fabbing the turbo kit was the best thing Ive ever done to this car! Now to get a boost controller to control the first gear boost and I should be able to get her down in the low tens. Thanks for everones help on this board, all the sponsors that spec'd parts (especially Yank with the PY3600), could not have done it without ya, no joke!

Great results and the car looks good to. I cant help but think what it would do with a bigger turbo and a little more boost and maybe some meth.
High nines at 140??

Whats the rest of your motor? Heads, cam ect.

It needs some better tires first. I think it will do low tens the way it sets if I could build some boost off the line and hook it. The motor has stock heads, ls6 cam
