Default Precision Billet 6262

Anyone have experience with these? Thinking about using a pair of them on my 370ci with the .82ar v-band in/out and ported s cover, non dbb. Thoughts, feelings, concerns?

hey beast, i just installed the 6262's journal .63 on my rear mount c5 corvette. I previously had gt35r's w/.63. I have not dyno'ed yet but the 6262's spool even quicker than the bb's i replaced. So far so good, i'll have numbers hopefully next week. What are your hp goals? If i were front mount, i would have gone slightly larger than the 6262's. Best of luck

the 6262's are great turbos, we have used a bunch of these. the journal bearing turbos work really nice and do seem to spool faster than even most ball bearing turbos.

I would probably do the 6265 at the smallest, although the 6262 will work.

We've never measured a noticeable difference in lag or spool up from a BB to non-BB turbo. The largest gap we ever measured was a .15 or .2 second difference getting to target pressure on anti-lag with a GT42. Ball bearing turbos get you a more durable turbo more so than anything else. $.02

Using the 6265 Billet BB turbos. Tracy is doing great with the 6262s. What are your HP goals

Thanks for the replies guys. Going to be injector limited for the time being (80#inj on e85) so 800-900rwhp, with no more than 18psi in the future on my current combo.

Just sold my SC60s that a sponsor on here spec'd out for me for this same combo. Surprises me that I'm being told to go even bigger than the 6262s, which I thought would be to big.

We used the billet 6265 air-cooled/ball-bearing CHRA turbochargers with the v-band inlet/outlet .82a/r turbine housings on the NZ1200 Camaro. The car made 1,023 rear-wheel horsepower on 17psi through a 4L80E transmission (on 93-octane pump gas, mind you). That's obviously primarily due to the Virginia Speed 427ci in the car, but point being, the turbochargers did their part perfectly.

We only went to the larger turbine wheels due to the displacement, but I think the 6262s on your 370ci will be spot on.

6265....nothing smaller. Tested on the dyno with a 370ci auto car....back pressure was getting high with 19psi and counting on 6262's.

Ordered the 6265s. It is a T56 car, think it'll be to laggy?

This is good info. I am curious to know how the 6262s would work on a stock ls3 running low boost.
