It's so damm tight down there.

Do you know if you had to reconfigure the exhaust or at least remove the y pipes to install the 4L80e trans?

I didn't think the tranny would clear with
the 2 blow offs being so tight up on the sides

Thinking about going with the 80 as well.

I was refering to the fact that you can't even see the tranny bolts let alone get to them and that's with a 4l60e
and it looks like the waste gates and down pipes all have to come out just to get the old tranny out and the new one in.

Very nice gains. I have been throughing this idea around for almost a year now. I have a local guy that is willing to trade my m6 stuff for his a4 stuff. My only problem is it is a 4l60e do you guys think it is still worth it? or should i just pick up an 80 a peice the rest together? If i get the 60 i plan to send it to FLT or RPM.. SORRY FOR THE HIJACK TOMZ28..

Stick with the 80e... The 60/65e is simply not worth the hassle.... I've gone through a few rebuilds and they just don't seem to hold.
