Default 2000 WS6 F1A Build thread!!!

Well boys and girls.....Since I had a wonderful tuner mess up my tune and take my engine out with too much timing (32 degrees) and 0 KR I am in the process of building a FI car. I dont wanna talk about the tune in this thread I am in the process of tearing it down and getting it ready for mock up. My old setup can be read about in my article in High Performance Pontiac http://www.highperformancepontiac.co...ws6/index.html

The build specs as I plan them as of now:
-LQ9 370 or LS2 402 either motor will have Callies Crank and Rods *Undecided*
-Reuse old Ported Dart 225's
-Custom spec'd FI cam
-LSXsolutions bracket
-F1A Procharger
-Big Front mount intercooler
-Alky Control Meth Injection
-Etc.

Here are two picture of the car:

And the build begins:

Removed hood,bumper...

Removed foam bumper support and metal support getting it ready for the front mount intercooler mock up....

It may take awhile but more to come

I'm in the middle of a similar build with a LQ4 based 370. Going to keep and eye on this one!

You're going to have a very stout combination when you're done! Bob

Made a little progress tonight got the heads off and found the cause of the motor failure. Cylinder #7 broke in 2 spots. Thanks to my awesome tuner for putting 32 degrees of timing and 0 KR in it. But here are the pics. Waiting on my F1A Procharger to show up along with my LSXsolutions bracket.

Waiting on the other parts till further mocking it up!! Enjoy!!

I would definitely do the LS2 block...the aluminum block is plenty strong enough and the iron blocks weigh a lot. I ran a LS2 402 with a F1A for awhile and I loved it. If I was starting over I would probably build another LS2 402 with a F1A.

I am considering the both blocks right now. I have talked with a mult. engine builder all of them say to run the iron. Only company saying to run aluminum is ERL but they wanted me to run a sleeved block. The engine is up in air right now all depends on $ when it comes time. I am shooting for 800+rwhp so we will see!

If your only shooting for 800-900 I would stay with the iron block but if you want more power or have the money then get a good block.

Well it was like christmas today got some of my parts in....BMR turbo k-member, a-arms, rear lca's, my intercooler and the piping. Then the blower showed up from Procharger, F1A polished headunit along with my Procharger race bypass!! Now I am just waiting on my LSxsolutions bracket, and then its time to start mocking the FMIC!!

Cant wait to get this thing together!!!

Very nice build ! I definitely like the CCW's. What size is the rim and tire combo? That is going to be a sick setup when you finish.

PS: Where are you working 75 hours a week

I am a service advisor for a Hyundai dealership here in town and last week i covered our Dodge dealerships late shift so it totalled 75 hrs last week for me. They are 19x9.5 (1" lip) in the front with ultra high offset with LWR to make my brakes clear and then the back is just a 19x11 (3in lip) in the rear. Tires are Nitto Invos all around 275 front and 305 back.
