free country, if they let you run it, run it. I wanna see what happens. How much are you planning on turning it up over where its been at for your 8.90's?

Our stupid track wont let you run faster than an 11.5 without a cage, NHRA for ya. I don't want a damn cage in my car either.

I've seen about 20 psi max. I'm going to turn it up as high as it will go. I'm thinking maybe 24 psi.

Street cars don't have roll cages.

As much as I'd love to show off my titanium *********, it's not as brave as it sounds. I don't fight the car down the track and I lift if ANYTHING doesn't feel right. If you see my 8.9 passes, they all look very boring. The car goes straight as an arrow and the track prep is always there for me or I wont go down the track. I also wont make a full power pass right after a clean up. I know, I know, none of that replaces a cage but I'll be fine.
I get what you are saying. My car is like a cruise on the highway going down the track. I always tell people it's really easy. What always has me thinking is the event of my own motor puking oil under my wheels. At them speeds it would be hard to steer out of.

Just be careful pushing her that hard.......Good luck!

ok so youve got your starting weight, now add 30lbs for an 88mm turbo, 25lbs for the OPs 6 inch thick FMIC, add at least 100lbs for a rear axle that will hold 1000+ whp, drive shaft, tubular suspension and chassis mods, hot and cold side pipes, huge wheels and tires, a big block, , , ,

do you get the idea now?

oh so your about 3450 lol, I was thinking 3800lbs without u....and to the other guy there is no way that rear weighs 100lbs heavier, and tubular suspension mods reduce weight...

btw why dont you try to take some weight outta the car, lightweight carpet, remove abs, cruise control, airbags, heater box, etc. the list goes on...theres 2 ways to skin a cat and just the few items i listed are worth atleast 1 tenth

That is a physical impossibility. Either the scale is wrong or the scale is wrong.

Air bags are out, front and rear bumpers are out, A/C stuff is ALL out, fiberglass hood w/ latch and ABS is out. Weighs 3450 w/o me and with about 10 gallons of gas.

And the S60 rear in my car is even heavier.

Sounds like the mod you need is the lapband surgery. Then you might meet your 8.60 goal.

VIP status has it's privileges. They are more relaxed than most tracks but not this relaxed for everyone. 10.0 is usually when they start giving people a hard time.
