what size wastegate do I need?

From Turbosmart:
Big Turbo/Low Boost = Bigger Wastegate
Big Turbo/High Boost = Smaller Wastegate
Small Turbo/High Boost = Smaller Wastegate
Small Turbo/Low Boost = Bigger Wastegate
Low boost requires venting more pre-turbo exhaust, so you need a bigger WG to do that. I think a Turbosmart 50mm pro gate would work well. Its still working for me in higher boost areas as well. Id imagine if i was 25+ psi i might want to downsize. At a certain point, the backpressure has more surface area to push open the valve on a big gate, which is why you want a smaller gate with high boost.

Consider that imports can be 50+ psi and diesels can hit 100+ psi. so generally speaking the LS crowd would be lower boost. I would call high boost 20+ for us
