nova, i have a set of truck manis with vbands on my gto now, i think im taking them off, they are fresh, and welded nice, shoot me a pm if interested, ill get you pics if needed.
i cant use them. they are not exiting friendly enough for me to be able to do a single front mount, if i were twin, id use them. but im single.
project looks great too! cant wait to see the outcome!

Fuel system may be a bit overkill but running e85 likely good idea.
Also maybe you can find a used aps gto kit and then put LG turbos or other upgrades on it. Don't think they make them new for GTO anymore not sure and dealing directly with aps is not the best experience really.
You will also need either pricey link bar lifters like morel ? or this new setup from erl to let you run like ls7 lifters with six bolt heads. they have some new setup where you can even change lifters without pulling off the heads.

So what would you put on a 427, 6765's? Keep in mind the limited space in the GTO engine compartment.
From what ive found, several cars such as Eric Berry's 427 made good power on the 6265's (over 1000rwhp) and I need very good spool on the street. Is going any bigger just betting carried away or is backpressure really going to suck with the 62's. The owner of the car wants a 427.

6765's would be a better match but still smallish for the cubes IMO. Spool will be instant with a stalled auto. Perhaps the owner doesn't know much about FI and the amount power that we are talking about here and just needs an education. A 427ci motor NA can just about over power the street.
The street wont hold more than about 800 rwhp. 427 ci motor properly turbo charged can put out well over 1500 rwhp in fairly mild config.
I tune a fairly mild 422ci w/ twin TC78's street car that puts out probably just a little more power than the 6765's. It spools instant and on the wastegate is almost too much for the street with the best of the best street suspension. Car runs 8.05 @ 176 thru full exhaust. That's the kind of power that you are talking here. It's overkill and will break everything in that drivetrain.

Thanks for the input. He probably is not really aware of the power potential and to be honest Ive never experienced more than 600 to the wheels. However, Im just a small time builder putting stuff together in my garage. He wants 1000 to the wheels and 427 CI. Its up to me to come up with a good combo. If I give him more power than he can ever use, he will probalby be even happier. I know hooking it up on the street is hopeless, even using a boost by gear setup with the boost controller. It does have 335 drag radials, so definatelt better than the stock skinnies on the back of a GTO though.
The drivetrain will be up to the task (I think) with a 4L80 (billet shafts), 9" rear, and CF driveshaft.
