Default 12psi Procharger, alum elbow - keeps blowing off my tb?

the car is a raped ape.
12psi pullies, been running 1500 miles but I just bought it, and have this issue.
The rubber boot type elbow was blowing off the MAF side and I was afraid how it expanded as I gave the car throttle. So I bought a nice alum elbow
now the darn thing blows off the rubber clamped to the throttle body (a BBK)
I am just revving like normal, I do hear the blow off valve working when I let off (stock one with the kit)
How do you guys keep these things together?

It is clamped so tight I can't even pull it away by hand but as soon as I rev the motor a few times it blows apart at either or both clamped rubbers. I can watch it happen just sitting still with a rev.
The engine is staying nice and still, not lifting up under throttle.
I can drive around at part throttle but full throttle blast may blow it off????

Your problem is hose clamps.. You need T-blot clamps if that dont fix it go this route with v bands and welding all your pipes together. 22 pounds 0 issues. See Pic below for reference.

All my pipes are tig welded at the joints and V banded at the intercooler, The only "Flex couplers I have are at the TB and the Blower.

Ohhh...I like that simple fix! It has stayed together a few times so I am very close.

T-bolt clamps are not as adjustable as a worm hose clamp, hardware/home store sell 3-1/2" and 4" t-bolt or v bands to fit the MAF circle and TB oval shapes?

And how big a deal is the blow off valve under full throttle/street driving?

It is the standard Procharger unit - should I pay for a race valve?
560rwhp on the dyno.
beautiful engine man!

Order your T-bolt clamps online, hardware store stuff should be avoided like the plaigue. I don't think they even sell t bolt clamps and they certainly don't sell v-bands.

Also, is your throttle body where the hose clamps super smooth? If it is smooth or has any residue on it then it could be slipping off because there isn't enough friction between the coupler and what you're clamping it to. It should be pretty sticky on there without a clamp. Make sure the couplers are clean inside.

chief455 - As mentioned, get some T-bolt clamps and order online to save a decent amount. Make sure you get the right size though! I just got a set of 12 in today and order 1/4" too big. So now I have to order another set and try to get a refund.

Here's what worked based on your blame of the clamps/surfaces:
I could not find local heavy duty clamps that fit - just standard hose type - and wanted my ride TODAY
I decided to try 2 clamps screwed together at each mount rather than a single clamp
Gave me 2 opposed tightening locations
prepped the rubber joiners and elbow ends with a rasp file = roughed up
the TB/MAF with emory cloth
fastened the boots on with clamps made of 2 small hosers joined as 1 at each point
retightened afer warm up
Zero issues, looks fine - can't even see the lower clamp screw.
I'll order real clamps and BOV for later, but I fixed it for today
thanks for pointing to the obvious issue - never knew we needed such a good clamp!
In 35 miles I blew the tranny - plenty of boost

Are the ends of the tubes bead-rolled, or have something for the rubber hose to catch on?

the MAF has a nice lip and scruffy area, the TB was really smooth with a small lip and the elbow was smooth polished and one end had a flare - not great.

I die ground some grooves and filed a surface in the elbow ends, emory clothed the TB/MAF areas and with a wood file scruffed up the inside of the rubbers.

then I joined 2 small hose clamps together at every joint - let me tighten the diameter at 2 opposed points.

It cost me $4 in clamps and an hour.
it worked great!

I try to find the t clamps with the springs on them. They keep a nice constant pressure even when the temp changes. Our big trucks use them a lot.
