My budget iron 346: stock 5.3 block, stock 5.3 crank, Eagle 6.125 H-beams, Mahle pistions, ARP Heap bolts (non studs), off the shelf comp cam, stock lifters, crane rockers and push rods, stock heads, stock oil pump. Very basic stuff for a cheap street motor for my truck. Had a D1sc procharger on it and it ran 10.46 at 126 mph at 4550lbs.

My first version engine in the now departed Formula had 3.910 LS6 block, stock crank, forged rods and pistons, and ported 317's. Also had LS6 intake and stock ported throttle body. Went 9.40@143 @ 680rwhp with the Vortech YSi.
Guy I sold my turbo kit to went 8.8x with my simple a/a truck manifold kit, a forged LS2 shorblock with patriot heads and I think a FAST or LS2 intake. Both engines were using MLS head gaskets and stock size head studs.

Ya my engine used a mls gasket and stock size head studs as well. Currently in the process of pulling it to check everything over and see if any changes need to be made.
