Can Comp cast the housing with a 3.5" V-Band?

Yes they can even do a 4 inch but I don't know if I have room for that size dp. 3.5 I can fit. Will a larger dp help with spool time? if so that could help make up for the added lag with the larger housing.

stepping up to 3.5 over your 3 will probably be good for another 15-20hp at that power levl, and will definately help out with spool time. If you can do a 4" and neck down to 3.5 that would be even better and pick up a few more hp

I would step up to a 3.5" DP. The 4" is kinda a moot point on the TC series. It will help reduce Back pressure and will allow the turbo to utilize the Bigger A/R fo rmore power Up top.

It made 686rwhp this year thru the stalled auto, 9" and 33" tires. I'd like to see ~715rwhp on the new ride on 18lbs through the stalled auto and 8.8 with smaller tires if I can get the new housing.

What is the most anyone has put down with the TC78?
I think "Hellsbent" has pushed one to 800 rwhp

Im very interested in the max potential on a tc78 (on a 5.7-6.0 liter engine) now as i have started my turbo build, with a tc78 that i had from a previous project with intentions of stepping up to a S380 or pt88; something with a much more efficient exhaust side...
but ive kinda built myself into using only the tc78, space wise. If i haddd to i could redo my turbo manifold and for the larger turbo, but now im kinda inetesreted in how far i can go with the tc78....

with street manners as a #1 priority, i wanted to go 9.999...
LQ4, either LS6 or custom grind cam, 4l80e, 3600ish stall, probably 3.23's(26" tire) in a 3500lb sonoma...

My best with the TC76/.96 is 130MPH at 4900lbs with all 4 tires pulling. Turbo was done at 16psi.

Should be just shy of 700rwhp with our calculator that we use that has been accurate on our turbo setups.

If you have intentions of forgeing the engine down the track and cranking up the boost, go the 1.15

if you haven't already bought the turbo get the tc78....
Here's a question: .96 undivided, 1.15 knife-edged divided or 1.15 divided with appropriate hot pipes divided up to the flange?

No intentions of forging the engine, want to keep stock for 500whp thru M6 and keep it mild-mannered & reliable. Building turbo piping as of right now, would like to merge before the flange for the wastegate, however I'm now unsure of what direction to go with my 1.15 divided housing.....

If you are only wanting 500rwhp the .96 housing would be better, would spool faster and you could easily make 500rwhp on it with a 6 speed. It might take 1lb more boost to make the same power vs that 1.15 housing, but would spool better with the .96 for a street car with a 6 speed.

It would be 161mph at 2600lbs not taking into account any loss for the extra drag of the truck, or 4wheel drive. Never ran a full 1/4 with that setup in 2wd but it picked up 3.5mph in the 1/8 running 2wd.

Where are we seeing the tc series with the larger turbine housings run out of steam? From my understanding the "race cover" is the gtm cover. It looks a decent amount larger. I have a couple pictures of it on my computer.
