I just installed a kit on my truck but haven't had much time to play with it yet. I moved the IAT so I can program the IAT/timing table to pull timing when the meth isn't spraying, but what are you guys doing about the air fuel ratio? If you lean it down for the meth and the pump fails then you are lean. The IAT has the timing covered but what about the air fuel?

If you want to run big power on the street and fill up with pump gas, methanol will definitely only help make things safe and make more power. As long as you buy a good kit (Alkycontrol ) you won't have any issues. I buy 30 gallon drums for $100 which lasts me over a year and come on....it's not hard to fill up before you go out every couple of times

My air fuel ratio goes about .5 richer when the meth comes on so I had to take some fuel out of the tune to get back to where it was pre-meth. If the meth doesn't work for whatever reason, then it will be leaner than I would like it to be.

The best way to run your meth kit safely is find your safe max boost PSI with no knock just on pump gas. Then spray your meth and only take the PSI up 3. Don't push the outer limits of your setup. Don't forget to keep check on how much meth you have.

My buddy uses Meth heavily in his Evo. 40psi daily. There's plenty of things that can be done to failsafe Meth. There's flow sensors, if the pump leaks or fails you can have a solenoid boost dump. Same with certain widebands. Leans out - dumps boost
Granted he had never had a pump just quit, they usually start to leak first.
I'm not sure if any lsx tuning software has it but there's also map switching. If the system fails it'll switch to a lower boost pumpgas only map. I'm personally not afraid to run Meth. I can use all the same things the imports incorporate in their setups

Been running meth on my procharged C5 for about 10 months. It's only there for safety though, as I was more concerned about just keeping the motor together with the higher mileage and 9psi and stock internals. Just cheap insurance, nothing more for me.

I've been running a coolingmist kit for 2 1/2 years. The kit's been running fine.
Last year a wire got loose between the controller and pump, so no meth. I have my aeroforce gauge set up to warn me if I get 2* KR. I let off as soon as the lights came on, with no harm done. Just one way to help against meth failure.
