Default Fast 90mm for high boost

Is this a good upgrade for a 17psi engine

Composite IMHO is junk. I don't understand why companies don't R&D aluminum intake manifolds at a reasonable price. I guess the idea of spending almost 1k for a piece of plastic doesn't sit well.

The 102mm is suppose to handle it a lot better. I talk to FAST about high boost with their product. They said that in testing it was good for 60 psi, is what they told me. And they said they will stand behind that statement and there product. I said okay so if I blow mine apart you will replace it!? The man said yes, with the 102mm. So the 90mm and 92mm must not have done good. But I know a few on here that has been running FAST 92mm W/O problems. But then again they know what they are doing.

The factory style alum manifold has been done. It was not a big hit due to the weight and heat retention. The factory intakes do just fine with boost, have great heat dissipation, and are very light. I'm running one on my 1500hp build.

In FI applications there is virtually no gain going from factory intake to FAST and your $ would be better spent elsewhere.

I have a bbk intake and professional products, I choose the metal intake for durability, plus heat soak wasent to much an issue on my old lt1

Makes sense, but I do agree with a stock intake with FI. I'm keeping my stock LS6 intake.

I was on the fence about selling my 90 and getting a ls6, when it blew that solved that little dilema. I figure if it,s good enough for Mightymouse it,ll work for my little motor.
