I am not concerned with hood clearance since its going in a truck, and am not against getting a cowl hood if need be. Firewall clearance could be an issue depending on how far it sits back. If the manifold will fit the heads the only thing I really see as a potential issue is the drive system.

Considering the 3.3 or 4.0 whipple a little harder now considering how many bad reports ive read about KB's customer service...

Yea pretty much, the turbo was cool and all and made more power, but the blower was more fun to drive

Search wrp in this forum. He has a 4.0 whipple on a 408. He has had problems with the belt & damper, but is making a lot of power with it at over 20 psi.

btw please do this man , if i were doing a blower it would be one of those . the one thing i would look into though is a bad *** crank with adding all that load from a big blower like that . they are very hard on them and your going to need one hell of a belt drive . like this

Got any more info about this engine? Who makes those marine exhaust manifolds?

Those look like Marine Power manifolds (I have a set I bought used). You can get PCM manifolds for about $750 new for a pair with risers.

I sent him a message last night, and I didnt get the impression from him that whipples support is much better than KBs when doing something they dont make a complete kit for. Also said he has had IAT trouble, even with the intercooler and whipple has a new blower coming out in april....hell I may as well consider a big procharger now too

I believe that the IAT problems could be handled differently with a pickup, you have significantly more room, but methanol injection is supposed to do wonders on screw compressor setups.
